  • its so ugly its cute haha :3

  • That's a house finch.

  • @mo0ny33 Right - but they are so close they can be bred together.

  • Its not a sparrow.

  • I found mine when it was a fledgling. I didn't think it would live cause it fell from the celing of a horse stable... going on 2 weeks now and everything is normal. hope this one makes it!

  • did he make it?? is he alive? xD

  • @DSTM4774 he was raised until we felt he was ready to be released.

  • mines older than that and i found it today

  • @goskinsgo You could grow a heart. I would.

  • cute, how old does it have to be to learn to fly?

  • My mom just brought up a baby bird

we dont know what it is but we think its a house sparrow

i took care of a baby pheasent before

but idk how to take care of one of these

im not even 100% sure what it is!

  • does it have cancer lol?

  • i just found one of these guys it was outside on the ground for 7 hour before we took him in because we thought it's mom would come and care for it but apparently it was pushed from the nest with another one this guy dosent even have it's feathers in yet i'll be posting a video of it eating it's going to a rehab center for birds tomarrow i cant take care of ot because we already have two dogs and a hamster.

  • How is he standing?? I have a 15 day old house sparrow named Nugget who JUST started hopping around and perching. What do you feed him? Mine gets dog food soaked in water.

  • i know its a bit late but you caould have ginvin him thin slices of bannanas and strained meat for babies with water saoked grain

  • yea thats what my friend did 2

  • Hi i found a sparrow today outside my house, it seems to be in shock as i think it fell from the roof , it is a baby i have put it in a box outside with water bedding and some bread crumbs but it wont eat is there anything i can do??

  • Its mother will find it, if you keep it near where its nest it fell from.. Just watch for CATS and other predators that prey on defenseless baby animals.

  • if it fell, how does the mother get the baby back in its next? i always wondered that

  • once a baby bird falls out theres not much its parents can do. young birds fall out of nests all the time but usually when they start learning how to fly. ours were not old enough to fly.

  • MSGirlie is right. That bird is either a robin or mockingbird. Those look alike as young nestlings. Poo to the jerk that said to call animal control. They would not do a thing!

  • Your baby is really cute, but I don't think he is a common house sparrow... God bless you for helping them...!! Yeah!!

  • actually it is i looked online i have one that look just like that right now it fell or was pushed from it's nest in my roof

  • Oh yeah, you sure that's a house sparrow? Looks kind of like a European Starling with those white feathers sticking out of its head.

  • What for? House Sparrows aren't a protected species.

Cute bird by the way. :)

  • House sparrows along with rock pigeons and european starlings are not protected, you can legally kill them, own them, and destroy their eggs.

In some parts of australia all sparrows are imediatly killed if seen.

  • u know why their killed in australia?
