I'm confused, what does Scahill not being an investigative journalist by title have to do with facts he has uncovered? Are you saying you have to work for one of the big monopolies of manufactured and processed data news outlets? He's an author, to author and write a book, you have to investigate, and literally anyone can be a journalist, just look at the above mentioned news outlets.
