this looks like my old stand up bass teachers house.. except he had a bunch of stand up basses and maybe 1 bass guitar

That sounds pretty good, but i wouldn't loose my sh!t over it like everyone else. The time doesn't quite feel right and there are some dynamic inconsistencies to worry about. also it cuts a bunch of times: if it were as smooth as everyone thinks you'd have it down in one take. Ps. everyone who's looking for the tabs should learn how to read music.

He fret buzzes now and again. This shows me that he is used to a frettless bass. If you watch his index finger rides on the fret instead of in front of it. This is a technique to mark your position on a frettless.

Other than this fact he is a great bass player to say the least. He is also getting a fret buzz as well when he tries a quick run lower on the neck because of his obvious frettless background. I do the same if I play a frettless for any length of time then go to a fretted bass.

These pieces sound so beautiful on a bass...especially the Smith. You get the beautiful warmth of the lower register, as well as the piano-like highs on the top strings. Beautiful...and of course, it doesn't sound like that without an exceptional musician at the controls. Great interpretation. :)
