  • what do you think about Diana Dreamer Camera?

is it the same as the blue and black one?

    whats the difference?

  • Or does this not fit the Diana Mini? I heard that someone used an LC-A wide angle lens on the Mini?

  • @EmilyHeartsCookies This lens does not fit on the Mini. I haven't heard of the LC-A wide angle working with the Mini either, but I'll look into it. The Sardina might be your best option.

  • @kaituba @kaituba Thanks :) Yeah, I think I'll go with the Sardina. I was considering a Holga as well.. would these lenses fit a Holga 135 for instance? I know there is a wide angle lens specifically for Holga cameras, but I couldn't find them on lomography com..

  • @EmilyHeartsCookies These lenses only work with the Lomography Diana+ cameras or SLR adapters. The Holga 135 cameras have their own accessory lenses (fisheye, wide-angle and telephoto). I don't know what options, if any, are available for the Sardina.

  • What is your overall opinion of the wide angle lens? I have a Diana Mini and I can't decide whether I should buy the wide angle lens for my Mini or buy the new La Sardina instead and use that for wide angle shots? Any thoughts, anybody? :)

  • are the lens the same size as the regular diana lesn

  • @caelankiwi I don't have them in front of me to compare, but the lenses are very close in size. It's possible the wide angle lens is slightly shorten in length, but not by much. ( a few millimeters, if any at all)

  • Hi! I was wondering, can I switch between using the normal lens, and the wide angle and close-up lens on the same roll of film?

  • @ikeorch7 Yes, the lenses mount in front of the shutter, so they can freely changed whenever you want on a roll of film.

  • I have a ring flash for the diana+, it comes with an adapter. Do know if the ring flash, adapter, 55mm wide angle lens, close up lens and the wide angle viewfinder would all fit together? I have a feeling these all won't fit on one little camera.

  • Hu Kai,

Just wanted to say thanks for all your helpful videos on the lomo cameras.

Off to try the 35mm film in my diana f+ now

    thanks again

  • Would these work on other camera like the LC-A or the Smena, even if you simply held them in place over the camera?

  • The Wide Angle lens will only work on a Lomography Diana+. The Close-up lens might work with another camera, but you would probably be better off just getting some close-up diopters and holding those in place.

  • i just added a dreamer to my collection of lomo cameras... and i gotta say, the only thing i dont like about the diana, is the focus ring... for guys like me that have big fingers/ hands, its a little hard to grab that focus ring! i like the addition of the other lens in being able to focus on the outter ring. otherwise, the camera is amazing... the most fun ive had in a long time!

  • how long do u hold the shutter open for when using a diana cameras

  • i recently bought a diana f+, all is good but the thing is i can't seem to remove the its original lens to re-create the true pinhole shots. no matter how har i twist it counter clockwise, it just wouldnt budge. i think its stuck. do you have any means on how i can resolve this?

  • You must be firm with your Diana. The first time you twist the lens to remove it, it takes a little bit of extra force. After that, it will be a lot easier.

When you apply the twisting force, remember that you want to apply the twist for a short duration, because you only need to move the lens 1 cm or about 1/2 inch.

  • i just got my diana+ dream camera and i have the same problem.. no matter how much force i put into it, it won't budge! should i use a monkey wrench to twist it off?

  • I would recommend using a tool to twist off the lens. Just grip it tightly and make the sharp twist with some authority. Be careful, as I've said before, the lens only needs to move a short centimeter or 1/4 to 1/2 inch. You don't want to break any of the tabs by twisting too far.

  • Of course, I meant... I WOULD NOT recommend using a tool...

  • Hi kimiweew. I just bought one too! Is damn difficult to twist it off. But trust me, it wont break. I used all my strength to twist it and it worked. Dont worry I promise you that it wont break

  • In response to some inquiries: the focussing distance on the close-up attachment is 15 cm, or 6 inches.

  • is it ok to change the lens when the film is already loaded?

  • It's ok to change out your lenses with film in the camera. The shutter is part of the camera body and so the film won't be exposed to light.

  • looks good.
