Hi How are DJ Esco I have a Kaoss Pad mini and Vestax Spin and a 4 channel behringer mixer, the vestax spin only has a master output, i'm not sure how to connect, i know you have to connect the line out to the mixer channel, but what about input of the kaoss pad?? what do I do about this hook up?? What if I take the vestax spin master output and connect it to kaoss pad input, do you think that will work???

If you are going to use it with a MIDI configurable program such as Virtual DJ Pro. or Scratch Live.

Not a bad idea, but the basic issue with this technique is you've created a feedback loop. The effect going out seems to be sent back through the booth out, looping back to the KP3. That would explain both the high-pitched sound and the echo. Seems the fatal flaw of the NS7 is that there are no true aux sends or configurable routing that can be used -- the mic and aux inputs are multiplexed together. Of course, the NS7 is still a remarkable device, but it's a matter of knowing the limits.

I believe I have hooked up everything correct according to this video, however every time I try to use my kp3 with a song played on my ns7 when I use an effect it makes a very high pitch sound. Like when you get to mics close to each other and the frequency's interrupt with one another. I tried to turn down the input volume but then it wont make any effect at all. Anyone know whats wrong here? Thank you.

I think you need to adjust the out put level on your Kp3

hey, i was wondering, do you have problems with volume sending the audio to your kp3 then to the amps? i know when i do it, my kp3 "peak" light flashes as if the volume it is receiving is too high, but the volume coming out of the speakers isnt.

you can turn that eco off on your mini press the tab an a/or/b button at the same time an turn the dial it will read off or on ,its that easy , thank you for your demos it helps me to learn as i hat to read instrucktion books come give my vids some hit points an then do demos on my equipment so i know what im doing . high five to you !

hello. you cant really do anything like this with a numark cdn88 right? but i can put the kp3 on channel 3 on the mixer and make effects in the background while im mixing?

You can remove an echo

@djfishing316316 Sorry it took so long to reply been really busy. KP3 has a sampler built in and some good effects plus synth built in how ever with the NSFX can control each channel individually which was what I considered to be major selling point and atributing factor.

But to answer your question: I dont know of another device that will work (meaning being able to process the effect from one side or channel only)

It's me again just 1 some answer to some problem, so i notice some lagging and crackling on ITCH with the NS7 and i know it must be the system requirements and what it needs is a com with (Core Duo 1.8GHz processor or better) and mine is (Intel pentium M 736 processor with 1.7GHz) so if i upgrade my com, will it work 100% normally without lag and stuff???

You can turn the echo trail off on the mini kaoss pad...Hold down memory b and press tap/bpm...The display should show r.On....turn the dial to r.of and the echo tail should be gone....

@rayray2012 Yo ray ray, the echo on my KPmini remains on progs 90-99 even when I set it to 'off'... do you know how I can banish echo from ALL progs?

@SoYoureAWaffleMan I think that's due to those being synths and not effects, I think the echo is "hardwired" into the synth sounds, so I don't think you can turn it off on the 90-99 programs....

I would suggest before the amp if you want to effect master. or at the channel input if you want to effect (per side)

agradeceria crearas un tutorial mas explicito de como le hiciste para que funcionara el numark ns7 con el virtual DJ porque el anterior tutorial fue muy sencillo y no comentaste porque no lo usas en lugar del itch, si soporta video y el itch no (acaso aun no tiene la misma calidad el virtual dj que el itch) agradezco mucho tus tutoriales son excelentes (sobre todo los que estan en español jejeje)

But you can use samples you load to the KP3 and play with it using the surface of the KP3.

Keep in mind there is different OS versions for the KP3 (I hope some people will write custom ones later or in the near future)

KORG KAOSS Mini = Effects

KORG KAOSS KP3 = Effects+Sampler

I forgot to add the facts that you can load your samples to the KP3 by USB or using a Mini SD Card. (makes life easy)
