@DanielAlexis17 Yeah in music,Filipinos are the best in Asia and I would agree,but I think in stead of singing others version AKA imitating,they should bring out new ones to prove that they can be "pioneers".Copying won't help especially when some singers can't do better.

And yes Filipinos love high notes so much and this confuses me @@

@YeungTheSparkle US singers sings their renditions from their albums which they have lots of time to do so, or sing their own version of a song in such a rare musical event.

filipino divas sing weekly, and some daily, on musical variety shows they're regularly performing so you don't have much time to do your own version and show much of your creativeness, so some arrangements etc

they do their own rendition of the song sometimes though if they have time or if they're gonna create an album

@YeungTheSparkle of course im a filipino. one thing is that filipino audience doesn't really care much about creativity. they loooove high notes. and most don't have much knowledge about music they admire just who is currently trending, who has just won in a competition, who has guested in oprah blah blah they care much about the looks as well and jonalyn is much underrated because she doesn't look beautiful in their eyes

All I can say, Jonaly Viray is one of the best singers of her generation. Too bad a lot of Filipinos have crab mentality. When it comes to their own race, they like the looks first instead of the talent, but if a Filipino talent who is not pretty, but talented and get famous outside the Philippine, like Charice, they become fans.Jonalyn Viray's range is so high and the quality of her voice is great. Comparable to Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston.

Respond to this video... when you think of a female singer in the Philippines the first name thatll come to your mind is Regine Velasquez, or for some it will be Charice but definitely not Carol Banawa nor Jolina Magdangal. In my opinion, her rendition wasn't that good. She sounds like she was just shouting no offence but the high notes was high but not that high to feel the song... there was no soul and feelings that you can say WOW !! It was just..just.. Compare this song with Charice in Italy ! You can feel the natural Voice comes out from her with natural 8 notes to low notes. Her make-up was also awful so vebry thick.. She pushed the song too hARD JUST TO SAY THAT SHE CAN HIT THE NOTE no way...sorry !!
