I love Iris whether she sings with her guitar, piano or whatever she chooses to play. She is a wonderful singer and songwriter. Her songs will live on long after we are all gone. Thank you Iris.
I love Iris Dement......but I find her more current "piano" performances greatly inferior to the earlier work with that lovely Martin D-45. Whether it's age or the piano to blame.....Iris is taking her voice in distracting directions and gives off a very negative vibe. Loosen up Iris....stand up...play guitar and come across with the joy you used to in your music. We all get older......but don't have to sound so depressed.
