Fear-based doctrines never work. But the promise of love, healing and a sense of purpose does. It's what all people need. We don't need fear. It eliminates free will.
What a terrible witness. Makes me ashamed to call myself a Christian if I'm being associated with quacks like this. What ever happened to preaching with love? When has telling people they are going to hell ever been a good witnessing strategy? I used to work with a group of teenagers and I never once tried fire and brimstone on them. Shockingly, most of them ended up coming to youth group and getting saved. They are now my brothers and sisters in Christ.
We have approx. 6-7,000 students here & we don't need the likes of bizarre preachers like this one here. I bet this guy has more SIN in his life than some of the students. What a loser.
@UncleFizzmo Speaking as another Truman student who just saw him today, I would love the man to come again and again; dude is the greatest living public performer in all of America. You don't argue with the J-Man, you simply experience him as he turns his insanity into an art form. (I asked him whether zombies went to hell, the answer was apparently yes).
He's also apparently surprising cordial if you talk to him one-on-one; he knows that he's putting up a show for the rest of us.
Why "confronting adulterers" as a title. hey want to turn all young people off? How to they know there are "adulters" here? Why use this title? Sad people.
Brother Mitch appears to be wearing a handgun at 2:01; you can see what appears to be a shoulder holster from the rear. Why the fear? Tony Alamo also wore a handgun! What does this tell us?
Nope. The Bible does NOT speak anything about being sinners in the Present Tense if we are NOW Christians; It only talks about those who HAVE SINNED or are CURRENTLY SINNING, obviously. One is only a sinner WHEN THEY ARE SINNING. If you are no longer sinning, you are a Saint, a Christian (Christ-like) - same same. That's why we need to be "born again" in John 3:3. To transfer from being "sinners" to "justified, sanctified, ambassadors, hold priests of the Most High God - CHRISTians - SAINTS!
@gomitch2 But, even once we are saved, we can't be perfect; we are not capable of completely ceasing to sin, no matter how awesome our relationship with Jesus Christ. We are always sinners, but as Christians, in God's eyes (because of Christ's sacrifice for us) we are saints, though we will continue to sin some.
The bible says everyone is a sinner. Including you. It also mentions several times that those casting stones and judging others will be dealt with so I guess you're in as much trouble as those masturbators and adulterers. :)
Everyone is a sinner BEFORE REPENTANCE AND CONVERSION TO CHRIST. Afdter that, we are saints. The judging others you mentioned (although wrongly) is found in the first few verses of Matthew 7 and is in context of the HYPOCRITE. ONLY the hypocrite should not judge, all other BETTER JUDGE and JUDGE RIGHTLY AS WE DO.
A contradiction. The Bible says were all sinners. Judging someone when you yourself are a sinner does make you a hypocrite. It makes it clear that it is not your place to judge and that it is only God's place to judge. What you're talking about is mankind reading between the lines to see what it is he/she wants to see. It is this sort of nonsense that is running young people away from the church and driving them into the ranks of the atheists and agnostics.
It's not "What would Jesus do?" but rather "What DID Jesus Do?" When we lock ourselves into "What Would Jesus Do?" we set ourselves up to creating a Jesus in OUR own image - especially when we don't take the time to truely examine what indeed Jesus DID - idolatry.
This is NOT how Followers of Christ should act. This is not following the teachings of Jesus at all! What happened to exposing the Truth in love? By speaking this way, you only push people away from Christ, you do not pull them to Christ! By all means, spread the Truth of Jesus Christ and the need of his salvation for everyone, but do so in love! What Would Jesus Do? Not this.
please show more of people arguing with you and calling you out on your own blasphemies. also, please mention more how your own home church has disowned you.
you are just one big PILE of fail... By the way, come on back to Mizzou when it's cold, why don't you? Are our souls NOT worth the cold weather? I guess god only cares when it's warm out?
These people should have gone to one of the religion classes they have their. I bet some good stuff would have come out of that. I agree with their basic messages but I'm not used to them being presented in this format.
