3 beers down on a friday afternoon - hey everybody, let's try to be family, look after one another, laugh together, fix problems that come up, be true -- what do you ya say?
My goodness!I've loved this song (the whole Oh Yeah! album is brilliant) but I never realized how much it sounds like Stevie Wonder in the melodic sections;that ARP synthesizer burble and the melodic structure.
Basically because vocalists are not considered musicians.
Most singers you can think of would simply shit their pants if they walked into a studio filled with musicians of this caliber and were asked to perform with this level of musicianship.
Conversely, good musicians don't give much weight to what pop culture considers good vocals -- to us that's just fluff.
Yes some of us were aware of Jan before Miami vice. Actually it was my sister that turned me on to him. AND I DO HAVE THIS ALBUM. ON VINYL. FROM WHEN IT WAS RELEASED!
Brings back so many great memories - with so many good times to come as I hear that solid moog...

I dont get why they didnt omit these subpar, corny vocals. Reminds me of the equally bad vocals on Welcome and Love, devotion & surrender by Santana
