Just my thought here. You played the song well. However I would not use ear buds to hear your playing. Reason: You do not hear the drums as they actually sound in ear buds. Find yourself some high fidelity, high quality stereo head phones. It's what I use for mixing tracks. Makes a world of difference for setting your mix level to the original song you are trying to get across.

1/3 of the people disliked this video strongly enough to take the time and effort to vote it down...I don't even do that most times because it's just not worth it, who give a)%$* However, I must say that simply having good equipment, which I believe you do, doesn't make you sound good. It looks like you don't have very many years practicing and my advice is to keep at it. Experiment, learn lots of songs that other great bands have come up with and maybe this will fine tune your skills/abilities

From my experiences, I'll get lost with just those, so it's possible he's trying to do it "perfectly" and his feelings didn't quite come across. But if he plays in a band, I'm sure he'll be better :)

The reason drummers seem to always have to do the extras in the intro is we are like sharks sometimes. We have to keep moving. its something we all need to over come. I think you did an excellent job on the cover. For all the haters commenting on the kit remember it wasn't a professional video and it seems the kit is in the garage. It doesn't provide the best acoustics.

@themortgagerx You might want to out a thick piece of carpet under the kit. The strands will improve the acoustics. You can also fo to home depot and build yourself a little barrier in front of the kit and cover it with carpet or acoustical foam to greatly improve the sound. it will help the snare and bass sound much better and more depth. It should probably cost you 50 to 100 bucks

It would be alot better if you tuned your snare a bit better. But other than that pretty much everything was fine. Once you first play the drums play a big softer. And go a bit softer on the cymbals too. And add more to your fills if you want to song even better. But it was a good cover and i hope you keep on playing drums.
