What trans are you running? I'm building a 388 for my C10 and trying to figure what trans I want to run. I was looking into a T56, but its too much money and I think I want a consistent auto. I would like a 700R4 for the overdrive (won't be nearly as crazy as your Nova) but I want a TH400 for strength......... I'm shooting for around 500 HP.
@vwman70 im running a old school power glide. it has an aftermarket gearset in it with a 1.90 helii-cut first gear. i know you will probably want more than two gears thou. the turbo 400 is really strong but takes more power to drive than the glide. i know alot of guys find the best set up is a glide with a gear vendor overdrive behind it. my 383 made 600hp on race gas and i sprayed 275 with no problems.
@pulitovr Thanks for the reply. Thats some good info. I got to push a bigger truck around, but I will look into that. I would still love to be able to cruise it on short trips to shows. Thankfully it has twin 16 gallon tanks! Again, bad ass Nova you got there!

You must have some nice horses in the stable cause it almost pulled the front wheels off of the ground while rollin!!! I'm sure it pulls'em from a stop. Great job!!!
thank you. only reason i dont lower it is because it hooks so hard the way it is now. i had it lower in the rear and 60 foot times were terrible at the track and it would not hook on the street. right now it does not spin on the street from a stop and at the track i get 1.29 60 foots on nitrous.!!
