I kind of like my old dell inspiron 2200 better than this new one, because the new one is just flimsy and fells like it will break if something over 5 pounds is on it. the old 1000-2200 series is much tougher (dropped mine multiple times over 5 years and stepped on it by mistake and it never got damaged). I went into a store and the new one seen here felt like a skinny paper back book (too much creaking and flexing for my comfort).
I have one. Inspiron 1420s run Windows 7 and Windows Developer Preview like it is the native OS that it came with.

You should go get a charger and connect it to an electricity socket. That should solve your problem.
