  • "Zeitgeist" style background music at the start lol

  • Needs a drop. lol

  • When you take this car to the ...DEALER ...for service...you have to....BACK INTO THE DEALERSHIP...

  • this car looks good: better than the Maxima.

  • Guys guys guys, ok, you're Motor Trend... possibly the biggest auto magazine and car review business out there,.... But I feel like people have been saying this forever, PLEASE tell us the mileage these things get!!?? I can understand skipping a Ferrari, but these are DESIGNED for mileage, this whole review is 3/4 pointless if you don't discuss that! COME ON NOW!

  • @eightycc Maybe it's been said and I just totally missed it somewhere

  • @eightycc he said the mileage was 27 on the highway and 30 in the city, listen a bit closer before you comment

  • @tjploetz95 Huh weird maybe that's exactly what I said above my comment, read a bit more thoroughly before YOU do. Jeezus.

  • Nissan/Inifniti FTW!!!!

  • For a HYBRID not bad times!!!!!

  • this thing has 360hp with 457torque

  • this is the first RWD hybrid with a 7 speed auto

  • TOYOTA should use a normal Automatic transmission instead of whiny CVTs

  • 55,000 $?

which means, it costs 206,250 S.R in Saudi Arabia... just WTF....

I'd sacrifice myself to purchase this monster for someone!

  • I don't like it when you go sideways every time you turn your car...you suppose to feel lateral G since this is a performance brand. ......THIS THING HAS ACTIVE FOUR WHEEL STEERING!

  • Mmmmmhhhh lets see, should I get the worlds fastest luxury hybrid sedan?? Or should I get the worlds most boring Lexus GSH sedan? Seems tough.

  • Infiniti is getting better an better in these recent years. Just last year they are the best luxury brand to come out of Japan. Yes Infiniti works real close with Nissan... Just to make it more afordable for us. GTR - LFA... Thats all i have to say to make sure that the Lexus fans over here know where we are at on Performance wise. Lexus cars have been looking the same over the year they change their design very little...google it if you dont beleive me. Infiniti keeps moving on and changes thi

  • Quit comparing lexus and infinitis. But we can all agree that japanese cars shit on all others

  • WTF? This car is faster than my G37 coupe..?

  • @H1mynameisLarry and hybrid.

  • i wouldn't mind paying for this but the prius could be the last car in the world and i will not drive it

  • @MrBry329 if it were the last car, you would drive it.

  • Great engineering, but maintenance and repair costs will likely be more.

The real potential is with hydrogen, and they are milking people for electric "efficiency" boosts.

  • Infiniti cars I would buy. Factory Blue 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe. 2010 Silver Infiniti QX56.

  • that's pretty fucking awesome. And i love infiniti luxury cars.

  • now we need this in the g35 coupe style

  • @KevinnDesouza You mean the G37 coupe? The G35 coupe has been gone since 2007.

  • I'm trading my LS460H for that, I'm sick of toyota

  • If I had $60k to plunk down on a luxury hybrid, this would be it. This is a game changer, and Infiniti has really stepped its game up against Lexus, Mercedes, and BMW when it comes to this unique market for hybrids; I mean like what others say, power of a twin turbo engine with a fuel economy of a 4-cylander.

  • looks exactly like a nissan. lol

  • @callofdutygamer29 And Audi looks just like a Volkswagen as does Lexus to a Toyota, yet the world keeps spinning & wealthy people still keep buying cars. Your beating a dead horse, everyone knows Infiniti is Nissan's Luxury branch, doesn't mean its any less of a car. If anything they are one of the most respected luxury brands in the market as is Lexus, BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz =)

  • yeh

  • get a life bud

  • @callofdutygamer29 yeah sure wtv you say "bud"

  • too bad its not pretty.... oh well, i still want it

  • This will be the next hybrid added to our hybrid collection. What a badass automobile.

  • PRESS 7 AND LOOK AT THE GUY IN THE CAR !!!

    XD XD XD

    7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7

  • Spec wise this Infiniti is good... but Im sorry its Damn U G L Y and yes and seen it driving around. Explain to me how this is a brand new car and already looks dated...

Its bloated and huge... the M model before looks more tidy and fit. This looks like a whale. But I agree good MPG in respect to its numbers.

  • its only a matter of time until they start making really fast sport hybrids

  • Dear NISMO, do your thing!!!!

  • Damn, I would love one of these, but it still fits in the saying (modified for cars).

Cheap, fast, fuel-efficient - pick any two

  • I want one, now!

  • so you are telling me that this M Hybrid is faster than the 2011 hemi-powered Dodge Charger?! Wow.

  • been doing a lot of homework on sport sedans lately, and if can really pull of 5.1s 0-60 and 27/32 mpg, then this is definitely my next car! will probably hit $60K with all the compelling options though

  • I work for Infiniti and have driven this car. Its going to be a amazing. Quick and the gas mileage is 27/32. 7 miles to gallon better than the GS Lexus, and Greener by far. The batteries are 40% smaller and disposable. This is a beast, for a HYBRID. Check it out when it hits. Stuck in customs now. Japananese Tsumami delays.

  • Remember that GS450h has been out for almost 5 years; this is not impressive at all. The nex generation GS LF-Gh will beat this thing

  • @tim010789 If you think Lexus is worrying about Infiniti's 0-60 times you are clueless.

Since the 1st Gen Q45, Infiniti has pretty much always had the edge on Lexus in the performance dept. and it hasn't hurt Lexus' sales or brand image. Until that changes, Lexus has no reason to aspire to Infiniti.

You are going to have to settle for the brand image, better fuel economy and sales because performance wise the GS will take a back seat to the M.

  • @Infamous2000bklyn

I laugh at this car. Nissan uses Hybrid technology from Toyota. The Next GS is going to Shit all over this car... it going to have an even better hybrid setup then it current... theres also going to be a GS-F... so whose taking the backseat to who ? Who cant compare a BRAND SPANKIN new car to a car thats been on the market for a couple years now... fail.

Hell the Inifinfit M on a whole cant match the baby IS-F... and the GS-F is going to be even more badass.

    Lex > Infini

  • @Toyota4Life Bro..... Take it deep. Lexus is overrated.

  • @Toyota4Life Sorry, I like Lexus and I think the Infiniti M is not bad, but why are you comparing a car that doesn't exist to a car that is in production? If the NEXT GS is going to shit all over this car, then the NEXT M will shit all over the NEXT GS. Hell the NEXT NEXT NEXT Infiniti M will have machine guns and rocket boosters and will shit all over cars made in 2011.

  • @AlphaDino Why being so jealous? =)) Just buy it.

  • @Toyota4Life

Nissan only uses Hybrid technology in the Altima. This Hybrid technology was designed in house by Nissan/Infiniti.

  • GO GO g37H!

  • cool video's...

  • Wow, a 360 Horsepower Hybrid Engine??!!!!!!! Im sold!!!

  • BTW, a Lexus GS450h is good for 5.5 0-60 and around 23 MPG combined

  • if only it looked better........

  • Not bad not bad at all.

  • This is the first Infiniti i'm actually impressed with.

  • Fking love it!!!!

  • For that amount of money, I would rather get German luxury. I hate Jap "luxuries".

Or at least I'd rather get the CTS-V Sedan, even though it's not a hybrid. Gas prices shouldn't be a problem if you're rich right? lol

  • @CyberGTX09 LOL your very naive, you would rather have a German luxury vehicle?? The sad thing about German engineering is not even the 2011 BMW 535i sedan surpasses the power of the Infiniti M35 hybrid. If I can pay $55K for a luxury vehicle then I sure as hell will pay for a 302 HP luxury gas saving hybrid over the gas guzzling BMW 535i sedan at the same price. What exactly are you gaining out of a German car again???

  • @Johncarson9113

I'm naive for not liking Jap luxury? I'm paying that much money for the drive experience, luxury, and of course let's not forget the BRAND NAME of a German luxury car. Like I stated before, gas money isn't a problem for me if I can afford a German luxury sedan, which I CAN.

If I wanted to save gas, I would get a damn PRIUS.

There is no way in hell I will be paying for an over-priced Nissan in my life. Now before you comment on my post, remember this: "It's my own damn money."

  • @CyberGTX09 So you are saying that M35h is no good because it is Nissan. This shows you are one of the people who don't really know car.

  • @Sitti2300

I'm not much of a Nissan fan myself, but if I was going to spend that much money for a hybrid sports car, then I'll just get a A CR-Z (cheap & economical) even though it lacks luxury and power. I guess I'm just bias towards Nissan, eh?

  • @Johncarson9113 Very well said... another important point is... German cars are some of the most unreliable cars out there... Any German car that has over 60K miles, is just itching for some major mechanical or electrical problems.... Get ready to fork out a lot of money to get them fixed ones they are out of warranty.

  • @Johncarson9113 ever driven a European car? I guess not. Secondly (this is a matter of taste) but this Infiniti is ugly, actually most Infiniti's are ugly. Most Japanese cars look cheap, its like comparing RC cola to Coca cola or Dynex to Samsung.

  • @m19921992 Your comparisons are irrelevant. And yes I have driven a European car, I was a previous owner of a 2007 BMW 328xi sedan, did I like the way it looked?? Yes! Do I think its better then my current 2009 G37 sedan, NO! What exactly was I gaining out my 3 series, nothing. I like BMW don't get me wrong but once you start cross shopping German and Japanese luxury you realize BMW becomes nothing more then a title rather then a car, poorly equipped & underpowered unless you opt for a M3.

  • @Johncarson9113 Ok man... My comparisons are completely relevant. Obviously a g37 is nicer than a 328xi, what about a 328 or a g25? Lets not forget that Infiniti's cost far less to build because they share parts with Nissans... There's things you get with a BMW that don't even count as options, like driving dynamics. In the end adding the options to a BMW will only make it a few thousand more than its Japanese competitors and you'll get the driving feel that simply can't be had with an Infiniti.

  • @Johncarson9113 too true.

  • @m19921992 uh huh.

  • @jaahmaay32 I agree, this car is very fast. I think it's kinda insulting honestly that he said it does 0-60 in a "respectable" 5.1 seconds.

Since when did 5.1sec only rate as 'respectable'??? Anyway brilliant engineering, and a very good looking car as well. Great job Nissan.

    Kei

  • @Kamukix couldn't agree more!

  • $55000 !! for this

  • 27mpg... come back when you ace 30mpg with those performance numbers.

  • @DocWolph Hybrids are mainly good for city mpg. 30 city mpg is better than Corolla and Civic. That's impressive considering this car's performance.

  • @grant6730 The thing is the M35h does NOT clear 30mpg. 27mpg is what you would expect from a v6 sedan the same size with a bit more power. 27 is good. But a Charger R/T goes almost as far and has a bigger more powerful, less hi-tech, drivetrain.

  • @DocWolph You're only looking at the highway mpg. Name a V6 car in the market that gets 30 city mpg. The answer is none.

  • Comment removed

  • @grant6730 Yes, I am looking at the highway MPG. My original comment was aimed at the highway MPG on the basis that, for a performance oriented hybrid, the highway MPG should be notably better than 27mpg. I'm not too impressed with a high city MPG because I can wring better than the highway MPG out of my car even driving downtown. So on that basis, I can get 31MPG w/ a 2011 V6 Mustang, probably 34mpg if I push it.

  • @DocWolph with less storage and passenger space. yep. Two different cars, can't compare them in the way you just stated. One is sporty, a coupe, and not purposely built for epa standards, other is a luxry sedan that just happens to have a decent power to weight ratio and an awesome 7spd transmission to warrant quick launches and faster shifts. If you want to compare to the Mustang V6 to a Corvette Z06 next I'll be awaiting your review.

  • @psmTARDCORE I would hardly qualify a 300+hp V6 in a ~3300lbs car, generally shaped like a sculpted brick , made to EPA standards. I was asked what V6 car could get 30mpg city. The qualification is specific but I answered. There was no requirement that the car be a 4000+lb luxo boat. You are free to disagree. However "your mileage will vary based on driving style" validates my answer. See Top Gear's M3 vs Prius segment.

  • @DocWolph A) I NEVER stated the Stang is made for EPA but NOT made for their standards B) I own a 370z and CAN get 26mpg but VQ engines do not have enough low end torque to keep it in that range. I normally average 18-19mpg overall. The 350z/370z's all sit at 3100ish rpms at 80mph on the freeway and at 65mph you are not in the torque band so when a slight incline comes up you find yourself either downshifting or going 1/2 throttle which brings your mpg range quite low.

  • 1:59 bobblehead

  • these videos are so fricking boring

  • @kowalityjesus Go watch Top Gear then.

  • how can u guys ever compare this plastic slow m35 to a Lexus 450h. the lexus will win in every category but i am sure the 450 weights more

  • @pirates860 This is quicker then the GS450H, what are you talking about?

Sorry, but Lexus is going downhill fast not sure if you noticed.

  • i like the numbers but i dont like the looks of it

  • Have you guys seen the Infiniti Etherea, its so fugly i told my gf to keep her 08 g37 coupe before they ruin the next g coupe model, the current g sedan has fugly head lights.

  • Shiro Nakamura stop making ugly cars, no one wants a curvy car not even kim kardashian

  • man, the infiniti styling is getting worse and worse. this model looks like it's becoming the out-going hyundai elantra. performance or not, i would never pay that much for something that ugly. their whole line-up could use an undo

  • @modernbattousai

what are you talking about?! It has a good looking, just infiniti style looking!

  • @modernbattousai Blame Shiro Nakamura, his fucken gay designs, i saw a proto design of the GTR, the back was the same, but the front look so mean like the LF-a, and that skinny little bastard changed it, i like the old M compared to this, he's the designer of the stupid Cube, and that esflow concept, the Nissan's in the 90's had better designs, the 300zx Skyline Gtr Silvia

  • @modernbattousai agree, it has something of a chewed chewing gum in the shape... soggy and out of focus. I know they can do better then this :/

  • This hybrid system is verry diferent to othe hybred systems the comentor even mentioned it... its uses this new system that Nissan developed to use it for performance rather than 100% fuel reaibility. So this system is no Toyota or Honda system...

  • seem you people dont get it.... This thing has a 3.5 VQH V6 engine that blends the power with the 67 hp 199 torque electric motor so that means 2 engines work as 1 so since this is the case the car total Hp output is 375hp and 447 torque. This hybrid is the future of cars that dont use forced induction to gain power but rather an extra motor to work as 1.

  • PRESS 7 EVERY 2 SECONDS: bobble head

  • that is one dense vehicle

  • WHOAH 30/27 MPG!! And a 5.1 0-60! That's incredible engineering...

  • @Waffleater1 It's a Nissan, of course it's incredible engineering ;)

  • @Waffleater1 no it's not.. Car companys just want you to think it is..

  • i agree with a lot of people, if infiniti had a hybrid of the G it would be even more successful. it would get better mileage and more customers. this car is quite expensive!

  • LMAO wtf!!!!!!!!!

    @1:35

    67 horsepower

    and

    199 pound feet of torque

  • @flawns thats the electric motor, thats REALLY good.

  • infiniti dominates lexus!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @remelsheikh meh...

  • The front end of this car looks very bloated and Fat.

  • This powertrain I think would be better in a G35h. If they put this in the lighter smaller G you would have a real performer on your hands.

  • Impressive

  • how much hp did he say?

  • @fforfahim apparently they said 67 hp

  • @flawns 67 hp n 0-100 in 5 sec?

  • @fforfahim 67hp is the electronic motor alone. the engine has 302hp. so that makes it a total of 369hp.

  • @grant6730 oh thnx for da info ... i think inifinity is enough to challenege audi A8 n bmws 5 series

  • Hybrid cars are a good idea for saving fuel without driving a Vagina-Electric-Only-Car, but if your car is damaged and it's not able to drive any more, you have to call the fucking NASA to fix it!

  • 0-60 5.1sec thats not bat at all

  • DAM! 5 Sec 0-60 for a hybrid!

  • tht shit is fast for a hybrid

  • It might look dying E.T. but I love this design. Lol.

  • impressive performance, but ugly..

  • this car has lots of impressive things going on, but it is still ugly.

  • Performance of an v8, fuel consumption of a 4 cylinder!

  • @6246 27 highway? that certainly isn't 4-cylinder fuel economy. My daily driver gets 37 highway, and my V8 in my other car gets 25

  • @6246 My 2000 Saab 95 aero gets the same highway mileage 27. So yeah lol, you're right.

Although it is 12 years older...........

Infinity is still greath though for all that weight....... ;)

  • that's pretty impressive. I'll take this over a Lexus any day.

  • My G8 GT can get close to 30mpg on the highway.

  • @thewhox56 ooooooookay.

  • @thewhox56 While that may be true, as soon as your speed starts to vary from the 65mph highway stroll your MPGs tank, and you probably dont average out over 23mpg combinded unless you do a lot of highway only driving

  • Great review but I don't think I can justify the price.

  • @frank55656 not even close way less

  • Why are Infiniti so understated their engines are awesome actually Infiniti is Nissans luxury car Nissan won awards with their engines and their interiors looks awesome look at the Nissan GTR it can beat a Porsche and cars that cost twice as much and their reliable.

  • @8184Antonio GTR performance is more on par with a turbo, not a turbo s

  • @kenosisthunder Well the newer gtr is more on par with the turbo s.

  • hybrid!? but why the hell you make a 5.1 lt hybrid

  • make a g35h

  • Btw those are SUV tires.. weird

  • i liked the old youtubes star rating

  • wtf?!? a hybrid?!? thats fast! Lol

  • infiniti should put this powertrain in everything in makes including the g coupe

  • Many people don't realize it's not just about being green anymore. It's more about getting more power out of a smaller engine, so kudos to the engineers for doing this.

But we all know they will never replace the iconic muscle cars of the 60s/70s.

  • Holy shit, 5.1 seconds. Thats right up there in Mustang 5.0 territory and Camaro SS territory..of course braking and cornering is gonna suck that damn thing weighs 4100 lbs.

  • according to infiniti....

  • GREAT CONCEPT BUT DAMN 200 EXTRA POUNDS OF WEIGHT,BUT IT ADDS 200 FT LBS OF TORQUE.KINDA CANCLES ITS SELF OUT.

  • Well damn that is sick. I'm impressed with everything except for with the curb-weight. The thing weighs slightly more than my 1998 Mercury Mountaineer that's got weight-adding AWD and a heavy 5.0L V8 under the hood. Still I really like the car.

  • I drove this car recently i gotta say its worth the money, nice ride

  • Nissan/Infiniti always does it right when they do it. Love their cars and this is one fast ass hybrid :)

  • Fake & gay

  • @medelucki1 fake? hmm maybe not as fake as your mom's tits.

  • @grant6730 something wrong with fake tits? you must be gay

  • I read the title as, "Infinity Meh."

  • more should be said about a car that gets better milage in the city, than on the highway. starting with, "are you a liar"?

  • Respectable?? psht. More like IMPRESSIVE!

  • this is amazing

  • dont like the rear, reminds me too much of the new corolla

  • all that technology is too much, it ups the price too high. Put the motor in one of the Nissan cars i.e. the Maxima or the 370Z, and you have a fuel efficient sport sedan and/or sports car. Don't replace the engines they have now, just a hybrid model.

  • @Stompy77 the same engine as the maxima yes but the 370z uses 3.7L like the one with G37

  • @Stompy77 This car is sold as Nissan Fuga in Japan. So yeah, it is technically a rebadged Nissan.

  • @grant6730 technically yes but they don't sell Infiniti anywhere else and honestly that car just wouldn't fit in with the rest of the U.S. Nissan line-up. Take it from a guy who worked at a Nissan/Infiniti dealership. The nature of the two brands is very different.

  • Ah I do not know much cars that are hybrids and have this kinda numbers the closest 0-60 time with descent fuel economy I have on the back of my head is Camaro V6....

  • at the :15 mark it looks kinda like Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT

  • 55k for this? HA

  • This car has GREAT numbers for a hybrid

  • Im sorry, but its kinda ugly.

  • @jzaga053 but as far as hybrid cars go?

  • Best Hybrid ever made, Infiniti have always made great cars, my gf's G37s coupe is so much more reliable than the old 335i

  • damn, more horsepower than my 6 cylinder, gas, 2010 highlander...

  • LOL!! @ the driver at 2:00

  • Thats pretty impressive, good job Infiniti!

  • @ToMyISm3 yes but with 200 torques
