Mater Dei fucking recruits players from different cities and different states. It's all true and I fucking hate them for it. O Lu does the same thing. Bunch of cocky assholes.
It's why I will always support public schools over private schools. I wouldn't go far to say I hate them, but I agree it isn't fair. I have some respect for MD though in that I met many of its former and current students and they are good people who like to volunteer. Certainly though, it would have been nice to have seen Barkley go to Newport instead of MD.
Still a cheap shot in my opinion. If ou look closely, Nick's leg was caught at that dude just planted his helmet in his ribs... I'm mad at him for that but that's part of the game...
I read the article on ocvarsity on this incident and it was pretty scary to see his reaction. He actually blacked out for a while. At least he's ok now.
Yeah, I agree. That wasn't the issue. It was more of the celebration that I thought at the time was excessive. In the end though, it was more likely a celebration of a defensive play. MD did kneel down in prayer afterwards. Still I do think they should watch their celebrations because I did think it was close. Glad this video settled the issue though.
Even with the celebration, it was a defensive stop. I didn't think they cross the line. I would celebrate too. It wasn't like they were celebrating right in front of Crissman or even taunting him. Good Luck to Crissman at UCLA.
