Remember cette petite musique dans les années 80, çà me revient en pleine face!

  • the suits. oh god the suits! :D

  • This is the BEST SHOW BAND EVER!!! PRECISION HORNS, SLIDING DOWN RAMPS, LANDING IN UNISON FOR THE FIRST NOTE! PERCUSSION-BRING IT. TALENT, OVER THE TOP, SONGS THAT ARE TIMELESS, FROM THE HEART WITH LOVE. NO ONE COMES CLOSE. I REMEMBER IT TAKING 45 MINUTES, JUST TO SET-UP THE BANDS EQUIPMENT ON STAGE. THEN BEING BLOWN AWAY!!!! EW&F, ALWAYS LOVE YOUR MUSIC

  • THUMBS UP if you agree that THE PERCUSSIONS, DRUMS, KEYBOARD, BRASS INSTRUMENTS, GUITAR AND VOICE MIXTURE is the best mixture you've ever heard ! :D . I LOVE EARTH WIND AND FIRE ! <3

  • a melhor banda de todos os tempos ...EWF para sempre !,,,

  • ye i agree EWF are awesome just got Kool and the gang brill Commodores surely fab as well?

  • festival de viña del mar!

  • the suit. oh man, the suit.

  • Saw them a couple of weeks ago live. They're as good live as recorded.

  • @80sjamming XXXX Wow, are you for real.OK what year was this comment made, huh???????

  • I looked up "tight" in the dictionary and it just played this song for me. I'm glad I bought that magic dictionary.

  • Philip Bailey is one thing and thats THE MAN!!!

  • i hate people who only like this song because its in drumline

  • I love playing this song in the stands with my Marching Band. Especially since I have the fun parts for most of the time. 2nd chair Trumpet in 1st band :D

  • could be the intro of magnum or something where people drive into the sunset with their ferrari...:D

  • fabulous.. and then some

    SIMPLY`,'COPY;`,&.,;PASTE';,

  • Hail to Maurice White the man behind EW&F his vision is eminent

  • listen at their music what kind of music is that like the intro sounds like music from another galaxy the horn arrangement is truly great

  • The Drifters use this track as a start to their show (as an intro they don't sing it )

    love this song

  • Is Maurice White not the lead vocalist anymore?? The lead singer looks way to young to be him?

  • @dxarmy94 No, he finished his singer career in the early 90-th. Now the leader is Phillip Bailey

  • @dxarmy94 Maurice suffers from Parkinson's disease and no longer performs. Philip Bailey now does the leads formerly done by Maurice as well as those he has always done.

  • please tell me where to download this video Full version in DVD?? please....

  • why cant more music be like this? fun, energetic, and moving? i may be a metalhead, but i know good music when i hear it :D

  • What a display of talent-the drums, the horns, the keyboards ALL in perfect melody. Throw in the vocals and dancing and OH MY!!!! EWF was one of those immensely talented groups. Todays garbage WILL NOT, CANNOT, even think of touching groups like EWF, Kool and the Gang, The Jets, etc. Lady GagGag, SH!TNEY, KEI$HA are planly a bunch of whores who have to act like sluts to sell records because dumbasses now actually think it is music and will buy them, clueless to what REAL music and talent is!

  • @heelsfantim Couldn't have said it any better. Today's acts just don't have the depth. (as well as other points you mentioned!) :)

  • Love you E.W.F. xoxoxoxo

  • ótima banda ....

  • 2:06 to the end of the song, i LOVE the horn part!!!!!!!!!!

  • They still sound great, but without Maurice it's kinda empty.

  • @MrFreeofMind Damn Parkinson's disease

  • Old School Oldies Rocks !! i just cant understand with today's music...old school golden oldies like this is a lot betterthan todays craps

  • the music is what you need ,

  • i don't like the new dancing

  • SO KICK ASS!

  • introdução mais famosa do mundo!!!! perfeita

  • @cenirafa Silvio Santos usou muito nos anos 70 e 80 para anunciar prêmios nos seus programas, lembra?

  • unique intro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My favorite EW&F song!!!

  • im playing this wit my jazz band...it rocks!!! and its in drumline!!!

  • funkiest song evah!

  • i'm bass player too and i DO subscribe to everything 2023 stated.

    Watch this video: overwhelmig!

  • Amazing*****

  • maurice white for the win!!

  • my favourite ewf song.

    this is absolutley brilliant. 10/10!

  • Yeah, specially the songs entrance its just genius, we are doing a jewish program on tv in my country we wanted the entrance of this song to be the tv shows theme..

  • They were & will always be the best BAND in the history of music, PERIOD! If you're talking, cord progression, harmonies, musical presentation, musicianship, no one and I mean NO ONE comes close to them. Having said that, without Reese out front, it's a different sound. P.B. is GREAT but, (Phillip and Maurice) together were MAGIC! The closest combination I would compare them to would be Michael and Jermaine Jackson in terms of "greatness" in vocal presentation. Incredible! LOVE 4 EWF!

  • @Bassplayershadow2023 I put Tower of Power right up there with EWF.

  • Tower of Power was a great band but ONLY with Lenny out front. Horns, (ALL the great Bass players) very good BUT I stand by my statement. No 1 compared to EWF. OH MY GOD the live shows in the 70's and 80's. Drums kits spinning around WHILE Ralph and Fred were playing them, Verdine floating upside down, the whole freakin band disappearing, the SOUND, the songs WOW. I love the power bands of the 70's and 80's, but people didn't even REALIZE what they were hearing with EWF it was so great.

  • And that's Lenny Williams for you youngsters out there.

I can hear it now, "I didn't know Lenny Kravitz was in Tower of Power". And by the way, I knew Kravitz when he was calling himself Romeo Blue (back n the day)

  • @Bassplayershadow2023 lol i thought you were talking about lenny pickett.

  • best comment i've heard in awhile

  • Thx much

  • @Bassplayershadow2023

check out brian culbertson live 2009. they come pretty close too. (:

  • bailey is perfect !!! in every tone

    love ewf forever!

  • I love ewf. but sometimes they seem unable to pull off their own shit. I'm sure it's because their recordings were perfect. and that's all we've heard for decades. Perfection.

  • No... without Maurice White no...

  • too short...

  • Great

but I miss Maurice White wondeful voice in this song

  • I wish they put the "YEAH!" on the end like they did on the record. Just say it to yourself after the last stab... 1-YEAH!

  • Oh and for Eb players, think Ab mixolydian.

  • The drummer is great being new and all. Stays in the pocket, no spot lighting unless hinted!!

  • @rodaproductions....yes he does do a great job. This intro, for me, is one of the most difficult ones for a rookie drummer to learn. I learned it once and couldn't get it done a second time.

  • You know who you're talking about? Verdine White, for xxsake! A living legend of bass! He could drive a car and play a bass at the same time if he wanted to!

  • Secondo me la canzone piu' bella degli Earth, Wind & Fire

  • this is the best song ever

  • But only Maurice White should be singin' lead

  • @tabatta07 You are 100% right. Amazing song.

  • @tabatta07 WORD!!!!!! I'm thinking of using it for a demo reel of some of my video production work.

  • lol at the hairflip at 1:32 haha he is so sick at bass...dances the whole show never misses a note, always on the groove..

  • he doesn't always play live, sometimes its track, which is a shame because he is good enough to play live every night

  • Thats a lie.

  • first off I am a huge EWF fan, at various points they used DAT machines instead of playing. In various forums EWF fans have discussed this.

  • que ignorante eres!!!!

  • @thedartt Verdine is untouchable with that bass and that hair!!!!!

  • @thedartt thats Verdine White. Maurice's brother. So sad....=(

  • Comment removed

  • @thedartt some claim there's a bassist behind the stage helping him out (containing me and my dad). do you hear the double octaves at 1:32 coming from the bass? how the hell would he do that while flipping his hair?

  • @progressiphiLe pretty disrespectful to say someone is mic'd up and helping him out. he never misses a note the whole show and yes flips his hair. he can do double octaves just fine alone.

  • @thedartt i just recommend you to observe his performances well. music also means criticism.

  • The Phoenix Horns!

  • open song, festival de viña del mar

  • just aint the same with no maurice, that guys just cant sing it witht he same feeling

  • i hate the way they never go back to the 2nd verse anymore....great song

  • my favorite piece!!!

  • absolutely bloody brilliant!

  • I love written in the stone...hottness!!
