  • song name pls?

  • song name pls?

  • i race on the Tay in Dundee and on saturday was sailing in a regatta in a Feva XL with my younger brother, we come in about 20 stone and it was blowing 22 knots gusting about 26, got the genikar up at one point and overtook a kestrel flying a spinikar!! we were bloody rocketing!! and about the 'white caps' your not taking into account the wind direction, if its southerly in the Tay its almost flat but can still be blowing in excess of 15 knots..THESE ARE GREAT BOATS XD (we went faster though) :P

  • There seems to be a fair amount of discussion about the wind strength. This was 1st December 2007. Chiment, only 2 miles from here, was showing 30kts.

  • det passer ikke

  • this is like 15-20 knots max, only a few white caps, i have been in 30 knot winds, and there are way more whitecaps, and the water is carried like spray on every little wave. I have also sailed a feva in gusting 25, with a reef sailed with 120kg onboard, this is ideal weight fully hiking with a reef. this is no way 30 knots. maybe 15-20.

  • some great sailing however.

  • Did they win the worlds 1 year?!

  • I love Feva's!

Yesterday I was planning in 2 knots of wind xD

  • @roosjj94 no that i don't believe! 2 kts is virtually nothing!

  • ah the rs feva xl.....what a boat....easy to sail, cheap, very exciting in good wind, and is usable from about a combined weight of around 70kgs. I love them!!!!!!

  • nice...!!

  • How can I know for sure that was 30 knots? it did look more like 15-20.

  • my rs feva became a submarine because it was sinking :P

  • I am about to do a spinnaker course so I love this video.

  • you have balls i just started with my feva

  • quer lool eliot...

  • try sailing a najad 380 in 50kts

  • Try a RS500 in 30 knots, wicked fun ;)

  • i remember trying to sail a 17ft yacht in 45knt winds in aukland. was a total disaster! didnt work lol. we were 1 crew member short and the boat couldnt handle the wind. luckily it was an onshore wind so we ended up getting blown back to shore

  • 30 kts crap thats fast, I've barely reached 6 but thats in a bay and with a topaz

  • :O, were you selling this boat a few months back, because I almost put in an offer on it.

Wow, you are both very good sailors, keep it up!

  • im also sailing xlfeva! :D

  • hey i was just wondering wats the desired crew weight in the feva for racing?

  • 95-105kg

  • thx

  • rubbish me and my mate sail a feva and our weight is 80kg and we have sailed it in force 6 winds without capsizing

  • @Widleykidz same

  • @CHADarK758 you constantly capsize daragh :P guess who?

  • nice one guys

    was this at emsworth

i think the same weekend it was blowind 35 at hisc.

    awesome sailing

  • Whats the price of a new feva? cant seem to be able to find prices anywhere!

  • about 6000 euro

  • fun fun

  • this is gd. i sailed the solent last year in a feva with the genica and the traffic there really doent help.

    peace

  • singlehanded in a force 8... beat that =P

  • hey, alex it's zoe, nice sailing,

last nite we it was gusting a force 8, it was awsome btw, thnx 4 cummin out,

    love you,

    ZoeXx

  • try to do it better next time ..

  • very nice and all that wach my 2 rs feva vids on my page i got 1 wich shows the 2007 model thx

  • Hi Alex! that was tip top sailing

    Its James R btw

see u after xmas, or before

  • 405 is much more fun xD

  • not optimal feva sailing.. move back on plane !! and more in main sail.. -.-

  • exactly! tell bkvhjudg that!

  • once i sailed in 36 kts. or like. but then the mast did bend a little to much with the gennaker, so we had to pull it down xD

  • Lol, granted! They should be together yes but near the beginning they're in danger of nose diving. The ending is good tho/

  • For most part, crew should sit further still back on plane and helm should pull in main more. 1:15 onwards was perfect tho. (im in national feva squad)

  • surely the helm and crew should be sat 2gether? and from 1:15 onwards th boat is neve flat. and lets face it, the feva national squad is not exactly dificult 2 get into is it
