I don't get it, people talking about making it in real etc. I see flying dominoes and a flying something here, how can that happen in real life? what do they expect? also, a chain can rotate 360 degrees if hit with enough speed, it's just practically too fast for something big, like someone sitting in a swing, it would kill the person, but not impossible.

At the time it was Maya 8.5. It's a fun program once you get to know the interface. Damn thing has so many sub menus, lol, but none the less it's cool.

LoL, no everything was NOT key framed. We were messing with the physics within Maya and you let "nature" do it's work. It was a pain because the ball going down the slide was never consistent with the timing. So when I would render it, I either would get the ball in my shot or not at all which was 85% of the time, fun times.

@theamazingzivmaster you are correct, lol. It indeed was an assignment. Funny thing is, this was made about 3 years ago. I don't do animation any more. I am more interested in doing live action material. Both go hand in hand except, they are just different mediums.

trust me I am not that good, lol. There are much better people out there who could put me to shame. Now that is not to discredit me however it's just that right now I am not where I want to be. I mean this project was over a year ago. Much improvement then but still takes a while to master.

LoL. I know for a fact that it is impossible, I did the damn thing haha. It was done in Autodesk Maya 8.5 The whole assignment was to allow gravity and the other obstacles interact with each other. So I came up with a playground theme and just went from there. It was an assignment, nothing else. Thanks for the comments!

Yeah I realize this comment is 2 years old, but I'm gonna reply anyway.

to be precise, on mythbusters it stated that a swing with flexible chains can't do it.... a swing with solid or inflexible connectors can do it with enough velocity.... simple physics, really.
