Azgalor once reseted on us at 1% cause of thrall dieing, it was our first time we managed to get through all the trash only to see him disappear at 1%. From then on we tanked him over to the taurens :P

theres really no hard bosses in this instance rage u dodge death and decay and u heal the person he freexzes anetheron u bring infernals to a fire resist tank and range burn him kaz u dont run out of mana and if u wipe at 10% the npcs kill him azgalor u dont stand in front and u kill the adds archi u dont die

In Warcraft 3 Azgalor didn't have Doom, Varimathras and Magtheridon did. Actually, this Azgalor has all of Warcraft 3 Magtheridon's moves, which include Rain of Fire, Howl of Terror, Cleave and DOOM.

His job is to keep the mobs attacking him to take hits so people can kill them... learn the game before you say something so ignorent, seriously. the PROT WARRIOR in this LEVEL 70 "ENDGAME" raid isn't meant to do damage.. just to keep the mobs on him so the mages with their "daggers" don't die.

Um.. well, Magtheridon* and Azgalor are "Pit Lords"

Meaning they command certain army's of the "Legion"

MOST pit lords look the same.

also it's not all about losing a player you also get to face a doom guard when he dies so if this was possible you could just sacrifice a paladin to avoid having to face a doom guard. But unfortunately this is not possible since not even DI removed the debuff.

yea, usually every caster has shadow resist gear for this fight, making them easily resist most of the silences, i get hit by 1 , 3 tops if im unlucky when we kill him. For the rain of fire skill, just put healers at max range from the tank and ull be fine. Hes not that hard, easy to fly by... took us like 4 months and were never going into hyjal again >=D

It's been confirmed that AZ can't crush, so we now use our druid tanks to tank him. It gets very boring healing them since they take less spike damage even through the silence due to high avoidance.

hey, my guild is 3/5 mh, about to try azg for the first time and i was wondering, for gruul my guild has another tank interv when he silences, if azg hits that hard would that help at all?

We are in the same boat as you with progression, but considering that the MT will have all the HoTs going into the silence it would appear to keep him going.  Don't take my word for it

Well if your tank dies duing the silence not much can be done but to gear him up a bit.

if he dies just after the silence, put up a NS/swiftmend rotation with shamans druids, 3-4 should do the trick.

And the tank can try to time it so he has shield block up during the silence.

but what i would go with is this, HOTS HOTS HOTS when you get the warning silence soon, all druids and priests stack up all their hots on him.

The last tip for this boss is Armor is king not avoidance

The silence can be resisted. We had a lock thrown on full resist to see and he resisted most of them and ranked pretty high on the DPS meters since he wasn't impeded by the silences.

I do have a question though about the rain of fire, from the video this looks like an easy fight. How did you guys position yourself so you could get minimal rain of fire damage? After a few tries we saw that thrall was getting it to, no problems if that happens but here it seems your raid not even gets troubled about it.

like i said in the vid, your ranged dps can completly max range it and never be hit by it. It will hit ppl in melee as well as thrall, but dont worry if thrall is taking RoF damage, it doesnt do enough to kill him, the cleaves will however. so keep thrall behind the boss

As you can see in the video, we put the healers at max range behind the tank. We stick the ranged DPS in between Azgalor and the Doomguard tanks so they can reach the tanks easier.

Melee are put on Doomguard duty. The only people who are within RoF range are the S.priest, the Ele shaman and the MT.
