nice nails ...and ya ,using a base coat helps a bit ...the natural nails dont get damage so much as without it . i use false nails too, cos my own nails are very thin , but i like the other kind of fake ....not franch tip, cos i like to polish them ., and if u put a colour on those with french tip , its gonna show it throw the paint ....not cool .

@bkreglo the pressure on your nail lessens with time... i think i know what you're talking about and hopefully i'm right--- your nails sort of feel like something is smushing them. for me, the pressure either goes away or i get used to it. MAKE SURE that when you remove the nails- you do NOT rip them off or else the pain will return.

a good way to avoid glue getting under the free edge is to rock the tip on. when its rocked on it only bubbles up at the above the artificial nail or tip(whatever is used).

@eena646 No the nail does not come off easily because the glue is very strong. I find that using a base coat with nail polish does render it more vulnerable to chipping. However, the base coat is somewhat of a protection layer in my opinion.

Hey rica i recommend u to start with clean hands to prevent bacteria to grow or fungus , push ur cuticles and file just a bite just to remove some natural oils so it sticks betta nt too much other wise they will hurt nd u can damage ur nails. u don"t need base coat it will make them fall off faster nd neva us supper glue u will f up ur nails... Remove them with acetone nd it shouldn't ruin ur nails...

use cuticle oil or whateva u use till the end.....

I put mine on last night but I didn't know how much glue to use and I think I used to much but anyway, one came off this morning and I glued it back on but my natural nail looked awful with all that glue all over.. I did soak it in polish remover before starting over but I'm afraid these nails will ruin my real nails.. your thoughts? Thanks!

@JustTakeMeDancing of course the glue is damaging, but they will not fully ruin your nails so you have nothing to worry about on that part. the glue usually comes from soaking them in warm water, so i mean, after you shower or during your shower, the glue becomes weaker and it is easy to remove off skin.

removal does not hurt unless you forcefully rip them away from your natural nail. you want to soak them in acetone for a while and the acetone will just melt the nail off.

I put on fake nails today for the first time ever and it said in the box to put the glue on your real nail and under the fake nail but youre only doing it on the fake nail and not on the real one like it says on the box, why is that? I've always had my nails long naturally but today I had to put fake ones cause my son made one of my nails brake off like half way where it was bleeding and stinging so much so I had to put the fake nail to protect it..and it was easy:)
