  • TOUR. anyone?

  • I'm a huge rock fan, I love most of the classics, and this band is very good. I think we need to support this kind of rock if we want it to come back.

  • greasy canadians driving drunk and on drugs.. Long live beautiful British Columbia.

  • T-Rex anybody! ;0)

  • Musically, this isn't really my thing, but the video HOOOOLY SHIT!

  • I like it. Kinda like Beatles meet the Black Crowes with Zooey Deschanel on back up vocals.it has a cool groove.

  • do not understand how this song only has 200,000 views, this song is much better than these horrible artists that are successful today

não entendo como essa música só tem 200 mil visualizações , essa música é bem melhor que esses artistas horriveis que fazem sucesso hoje em dia!

  • Love this stuff. Stoner rock will always rock

  • cant wait for this album to drop...

  • Muito doido este video e esta banda é do caralho! Very Good Guys! Crasy Sound to Journey mind!

  • nice tune! listen to zyonara for some psychedelic-stoner-rock!

  • what are the names of the girls "the 3 weid sisiters" on this video

  • love the mustang grande

  • Who are the 8 people who didnt like this? Must have been a mistake?

  • Saw them in San Diego in 2009. Such a fcking good show!!!. How can this not be at the top of the charts and Justingagabeyonce is? Man if they had been a band in say 1968-78, they would be kings!!! Long live good music!

  • I'm glad to see The Big Lebowski started a rock band.

  • tous latreuw!!!!!

  • who are the weird sisters/

  • These dudes fucking rule.

  • I like this band a lot, but yeah, not even a subtle rip-off of Mr. Soul. I guess if you're gonna rip something off, you might as well pick something cool.

  • anyone know what those badass brown boots are that he's wearing at 0:25?

  • 8 Bieber's fans probably wanted to type "fags" instead of "fangs"

  • @therebelsoftijuana good one..

  • @therebelsoftijuana make that 9 now....

  • Sisters of the Black Moon...sweet

  • Love this track.

Just found this album and learned it's an early band with Black Mountain's synth wizard. Check it out. Other tracks are too long for You Tube, which is a shame 'cause Saturday Disaster (over 20 minutes) is nuts!!

go to you tube dot com/watch?v=8XknDRGT6eg

  • i like the car

  • accident of Fireball Ministry + Deep Purple + hippie stoner

  • saw them live with The Black Angels <3

  • why is this kind of shit so acclaimed

  • @dstrbo13 because they are G o o d. Have you seen them live????? Me three times

  • I'm waiting for a concert in Prague!

  • Tyrants is my favourite Black Mountain song... this one is the best video though.

  • A slight stoner feel to the song. This band could be responsible for a new round of emerging grunge bands.

  • Part Black Sabbath, part Deep Purple, part Stone Temple Pilots, and better than Wolfmother could've been if they'd done 5 albums.

  • compair them to shitty enough bands

  • similar to Mr Soul by Buffalo Springfield eh? Still love Black Mountain regardless

  • this band sucks balls

  • That was a trip. :) CFOX in Vancouver is playing this tune pretty regular. I'm really liking it.

  • you guys are such noobs, the drummer (josh Wells) is my brother i know them all the practice in my garage somtimes :) Btw thanx for all the great comments

  • kinda the same kinda cool as queens of the stone age

  • bang!

  • These guys are even cooler when you meet them!

  • i love canada

  • @beef7790 dont we all

  • Love this band! What an amazing video :)

  • I dont like this at all. what happened to the psychedelic music?

  • @ludvik199t .... ? if this isn't psychedelic i'm not sure what is.

  • Let this song and video be a lesson to all!!!!

  • i know right, i liked this song so much better when just me and a few of my friends knew about it. It made me feel superior and special, ya know? I hate it when bands i like are liked by large numbers of other people.

  • @MrSadGuru Why?! OK, so maybe some stupid people like a band you like, but a band that YOU like is getting what they want: namely, more fans. You have the security of knowing your band will make enough money to continue being a band and will be able to make more music, and they get the same thing.

I have NEVER understood why people would EVER want a band or a song they like to not be successful. Sure, I know of bands few other people do, but I TRY TO MAKE EVERYONE I KNOW LISTEN TO THEM.

  • @IAmTheOddity hahahaha, i was hoping someone would take that seriously. People are pretty silly, huh?

  • @MrSadGuru Ah. Well then, if it's not serious, sorry for attacking you.

But, sad to say, 99% of people who say things like that ARE serious. x_x

  • @IAmTheOddity when people are saying things like that sure they are joking but also half serious. Dont you like the feeling that you know something awesome and other people dont?

  • @IAmTheOddity I think It's because people like to feel special or...feel like the Oddity. xD

  • @IAmTheOddity

Yeah, I'd like all of my friends to listen to the cool bands I know of that no one else does. However, success often changes the feel and sound of a band that may only touch you when there coming from a much more down to earth mindset.

"I'm afraid of losing my obscurity. Genuineness only thrives in the dark. Like celery."

    - Aldous Huxely

  • @IAmTheOddity Agreed! it's only when bands like this get more recognition that the music label people and radio programmers will put out and play actual good bands.

  • @tryingharder : Oh, how I wish this were true. The catch is to get the recognition they need the radio play, and unfortunately our nice little deregulated corporate stations in a closet generally don't care about anything that isn't on a major label. Hell, even the "metal" station on XM-Sirius is barely anything more than a glorified Corporate Rock station. They hardly step even to the bigger labels that aren't members of the RIAA. Capitlism has killed radio in this country.

  • @perpetualwinterbear you don't need radio play to be successful, it's not capitalism, but the free downloading, the emphasis on vocalist and rap thats killed rock music, ie metallica was successful before the and justice for all album came out, and before that album i never heard them on the radio, I'll admit the had mega success after they got radio play, but they where having gold records before that.

  • @perpetualwinterbear

Capitalism killed radio everywhere, trust me! My band plays similar music here in Hungary, Europe and I don't see any chance that our songs will be played however some of them are really catchy and anyone could whistle the melody on the way back home from our gig... You can have an underground status without radioplay and management but that is limited. Mainstream kills!

  • @IAmTheOddity fame, power and money corrupt

  • @IAmTheOddity

Hear Hear , pass it all along brother. Do not be a selfish ramalonadinindong.

  • BOO this song reached 100,000 views. i remeber watching this video when it was like 15k

  • @BVILLE92 ever think maybe the same 15,000 people have watched it a dozen times ? :)

  • tiki lamps

  • Saw these guys(and girl) play live the other night....they delivered.

  • The spirit of 'Two Lane Blacktop' lives on...

  • @photonottingham I thought it looked vaguely familiar

  • @sedoble

There's a bit of 'Performance' and 'Vanishing Point' in there too ;)

  • treat this like forever..

  • Who cares where you first heard this song. The only thing that matters is the fact that you're all here listening to good music

  • I bought tickets to the Dropout Boogie Tour because I saw that the Black Angels were performing with them, so I decided it was a good idea to see what I'm getting myself into. I am SO GLAD to have bought the tickets... These guys are SO AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!!!

  • i was hoping they would have new music soon, AWESOME

  • thumbs up to all the people who liked this bad way before jimmy fallon....and for those who have became fans because of seeing them on fallon...you have now felt what it is like to have your mind BLOWN by the amazing band that we all call BLACK MOUNTAIN! Steve McBean is GOD.

  • This music sinks a hard hook into you like late 60s and early 70s psych did.

    I just love it.

  • great song

  • what happened with the psychedelic rock?

    this is rock n roll!

  • fucking FUCKING amazing!!!!!

  • I know it's trendy to rip on people who hit the dislike button, but seriously? How can you not dig this? This is as about as rocknroll as you can get.

  • Saw them yesterday @ Paradiso, Amsterdam. Awesomeness.

  • awesome

  • interview with Stephen McBean of Black Mountain on our channel. Stop by and have a look.

  • Got there first CD when it came out, could not wait until this one finally came out! In my opinion no filler on either cd.

  • IThis music is great.

And the video seems to be from the 70's.

Just to know, the car is a 1971 Ford Mustang Grande Hardtop.

Cool music, cool effects, cool people, cool cloths, cool car.

  • Goddamn this song is fucking epic!

  • Song Of The Day.

  • Been watching this band for awhile looks like their hitting their stride ,this album is killer.

  • Great stuff. Alot of influences going on, def Deep P in this and Led Z in Hair Song but no bad thing (as with Wolfmother). Look forward to seeing them live.

  • love this song. these guys kind of have like a retro thing going on. reminds me of jefferson airplane for some reason? anywhoo LOVE IT

  • ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE!

  • WOW!

  • refreshing as all get out.

  • @foilseal blah blah blah blah idiot

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!

  • @foilseal Ouch! It was just an observation based on empirical evidence. Ooh, I guess that sounds clever too. Clown.

  • see....the thing is us canadians, we grow sweet pot. and then people who play instruments smoke it ......'nuff said

  • I really love the reference to The Repentant Magdalen by Georges de la Tour. Great song- going to look for you on Tour.

  • @jasfar N.I.B? Really dude? Get your head out of them technical guitar, yngwie malmsteen solo worshiping mags. "Pot head on pop" Nice analyses. Everything takes some elements form something in the past, including your half ass attempt to trash a song on YouTube. This band has something far more unique than another smoke on the water remix. Dumb fuck.

  • linder, is that yours? funny, why aren't you in it? blondes not mystical enough....

  • The song that Led Zep didn't write since a long time....

  • Good song though. And excellent choice of car.

  • I have a sneaking suspicion these guys might be bongheads.

  • @jasfar i know you're just trying to stir up sh*t and i don't know why i even read these retarded comments (is there a hide comments option on youtube?)

but...you are so truly clueless. so quick to judge. the new black mountain album is amazing rock n roll, as was their last. i LOVE deep purple, and i also love this band. weird huh. you probably would to if you weren't so narrow minded. you must miss out on a LOT of amazing music. btw, dp471 = deep purple471?

  • @mazzapazz double penetration

  • hey...how bout if you don't like it, don't watch it. Most people who ACTUALLY work in the music industry have great love and respect for Black Mountain. Keep the negativity to yourself.

  • @jasfar well if you don't like it don't watch nobody needs your negativity

  • I first heard them on Jimmy Fallon! Fell in love! So electric! Love them!

  • seen this band do this song on Jimmy Fallon show... can't get it out of my head. Better than most new shit I've heard.

  • steven's been on a mission for awhile now ... we're getting close :P

  • stevens been on a mission for awhile now ... we're getting close :P

  • Holy Fuck these guys are from my hometown how am I just finding out about them now?

  • @TyroneLafleur Because while it's nice to be able to enjoy it, music doesn't run the world and most people don't really give that much of a fuck about this. Does that help answer your question?

  • Kitch^^

  • stephen mcbean is the best guy to play internet scrabble with when you should both be sweeping up after junkies but don't feel like working.

  • Mark my words. Mark my words !!

  • Why are the women holding those shiny globes? My Mom has those in her garden.

  • this is one of the fastest songs/bands to catch my ear in a while. video is pretty sweet to.

  • Saw them Play On Late Night with Jimmy Falon and loved this song!

  • Coool, can`t wait to the album to be released.

In my top three of retro bands along with Entrance Band and The Swordªªª

  • BOC ! yeah definitly but i've got a few other names... it makes me think to Deep Purple... it seems to be John Lord behind the organ ... and there's an Hawkwind - Gong touch in the keyboards sound... excellent... the rest sound a little bit more modern alternative rock ... excellent video ! ...

  • I can't quite place it, but the music kind of makes me think of BOC.

  • next mon., the 30th, this band is performing at brooklyn's knitting factory. see you there!

  • Hell Yes!

  • 70's influenced music + 70's Mustang = kickass!

  • I love this

  • so damn good

  • This band is fucking amazing.

  • @stinkarelli saw em live back in the day before they blew up stormy high on a qaurter of shrooms lol sooooo good

  • The guys from Two Lane Blacktop get dosed by the Satanists from Race with the Devil.

Where the heck is Warren Oates?

  • Miglior rock band degli ultimi 10 anni. The best rock band til ten years ago...

  • Brilliant!!!

  • Me like! Very Much!!!

  • I love this band and I love Conan O'Brien for introducing them to me back on Late Night. I'll be buying this album in LP format ASAP.

  • @big10inrecord LP format?

  • @SaneLunacy Yeah, LP, vinyl.. Might as well, you get the record as well as a HQ digital copy from jagjaguwar anyway. I mean, who needs a cd of the digital copy these days?

  • @big10inrecord yeah I see, I was confused. And I agree, definitly buying in vinyl, and now thanks to you, buying it from directly from their label for the free digital files. Thanks

  • Is it just me or does this song seem influenced by Buffalo Springfield's "Mr. Soul'? I love it so much.

  • wow. now that, is brilliance.

  • you cannot get a better fitting music video for that song... THAT WAS COMLETELY BLACK MOUNTAIN AT ITS BEST....CANNOT WAIT FOR WILDERNESS HEART(album name)
