  • Literally, my back yard; where I was born and raised. Although I'm not orange, I do, however, smell like citrus (thank you Central Florida).

  • Did you notice the HI-Acres Concentrate? frozen juice concentrate was the most proffitable era for citrus.

    Go Highlanders!!! Class of 1983..

What happened to a great little town?

  • Great video! I live just near the citrus tower, it's a shame what happened to all the groves. The Citrus tower still is a very beautiful part of Clermont, I couldn't imagine it without it. Seems like everywhere u go now a days things are changing. Be it Clermont, or Somewhere else in the country it's not the same as it used to be thats for sure.

  • Thanks for this. I was born and raised in Clermont,Florida. Moved away when I married in 1985.

I would never move back to Florida now.

Too much traffic and too many people.

I miss the good ol days.

I attended the Clermont Church of God that was located behind the Citrus Tower. I know it has moved and changed it's name now. Like I said, too many changes. Home is not home to me anymore. :(

  • The 1956 view shows nothing but citrus trees. The 1994 view shows nothing but open fields. Now, the 2007 view is nothing but houses. I miss the old days!

  • Thank you for documenting our small-town-gone-big history. I really enjoyed this. We need to stick to our citrus roots! 352 represent! lol

  • Great job! Its glory days may be over but its still worth a visit to Citrus Tower!
