not in snooker mate... you want to spread a little bit the balls but more important is to get the white ball all the way round the table back to the area you took the shot from and hopefully position it close to the bank or behind a colored ball :)

This is probably one of the trickiest 147's i've ever seen. Because he had the tricky cannon on the 2 reds, the plant which i think was quite lucky and the shot when he had to play it with side to pot one of the reds

Ali Carter is a real young snooker talent. He was so close to winning the world championship. But Ronnie O'Sullivan obviously taught him a lesson my playing like the master

In the final Ali Carter played very poorly and Ronnie didn't need to play his best. It was a very uninteresting match.

Ronnie's is always nice to watch because of his pace but Carter's was a lot more difficult to construct.Even though Ronnie potted a difficult first red, the rest of the reds were pretty much open.With Carter there was a cluster of 7 red in a tight bundle and had he not spotted the plant, it would have been end of break. Also position from blue to pink wasn't straight forward as the blue was in the balk area and a lot more room for error!

@constantine265 I partially agree with you, although I would also make the argument that Ronnie's maximums look 'easy' because his shot selection and overall break building ability is superior to Carter's. There's a reason Ronnie and Hendry are miles ahead of the pack in their number of competitive centuries (and competitive maximums). But any 147 is a great achievement
