  • can this work on 2.3.3?

  • You sound like a robot... i like it :)

  • @iMentalVirus he sounds like an android*

  • LOL reading down at all the tards scared of a virus ... too funny. I infect stuff on purpose. I wish you people would get over your stupid fears about viruses.

  • if your droid x is running 2.3.3 check out my video! works on all motorola devices with gingerbread (2.3.3-2.3.4)

  • sry im kinda new at this but what does rooting do ? i have been very curious of this can anyone tell me please what is the point of rooting your phone i hear it all the time and have no idea what it is lol please help?>>>

  • Gingerbreak is easier than this

  • I can't even understand you.

  • can i unlock the network after rooting?

  • easy root dont work anymore

  • y would u want to root it? if u download an app it may contain a virus. i dont think anyone wants to fuck up their phone and have to buy another.

  • @17143972290 That is not how it works. Download an app from where? If it is from some random site that is known to have problems then yeah you are running a risk, but it wouldn't matter if you are rooted or not you will still get the virus. Unless you are mentally challenged you will not get a virus on your android phone whether rooted or unrooted. If you root your phone you can delete the bloatware and other shit that is slowing down your phone and wasting battery and you can flash a rom on it.

  • @24xEBK now what does that mean flash rom?

  • @17143972290 I don't know exactly how to explain it but when you flash a rom you can get a rom that has, say, gingerbread on it even if your carrier hasn't given your phone the update yet and also depending on what rom you choose some will remove all of the bloatware and other things like being able to manage your services and some help make your battery last longer. If I was you I would go to a website like android central where you can get this info. What kind of phone do you have?

  • Where do you get easyroot at?

  • how do u get easy root? or z4?

  • how did you get "easyroot"?

  • I have a droid X and I went through the process of rooting my phone, I rebooted after successfully rooted message however after the reboot it still is asking me to root it. wifitether is saying device not rooted. what should I do?

  • how can i Chang the esn ? thank you so much.

  • z4 root. Its easy free and works.

  • If I don't want to overclock, or undelete the bloatware, why would I root?

  • EASY ROOT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU TECHNOLOGICALLY CHALLENGED RETARDS OUT THERE.

  • where can i find this app

  • i cldent here the guy even if i hire the volum up to high...

  • @QBSunnySarthak nope

  • What is 'rooting' your Droid X, and what is the purpose of this??

  • @rachelleap1 It basically gives you administrative abilities over your phone. This lets you change all sorts of settings that you couldn't while you were not rooted. For example, you can control how fast your phone goes by "overclocking". This helped on my Motorola Droid since it was slow, but runs a lot smoother now. You can also get free USB and/or Wireless tethering. There are a number of reasons people root their droids. I mainly did it so it can go faster. :)

  • what are the chances of your droid exploding? or bricking? whichever lol

  • easy root costs money, screw it

  • i cant find easy root i can only find easy root compatibilty and it made me email some guy so is this right cuz i still havent rooted i have been trying all night to root my phone can anyone please help i just want to teather lol

  • easy root was taken off the market

  • I'm using 2.1 and it's saying can not download content not supported on this phone. What am I doing wrong?

  • i downloaded the easy root compatibility test, and it telse me that android 2.2 is not supported at this time, wich makes no sense because i have 2.1 on my droid x.

though for those that have the droid 2, this answers your question as to if it will work.

  • does this work on droid 2 also? If not is there a way to root yet

  • do you know when the rooting software for the droid 2 will come out?

  • Comment removed

  • i dwnloaded easy root but it takes me to a website "unstable apps" im using droid x 2.1 wheres the "test" button to send an email to the developer info on my hardware?

  • after it's rooted, does the wifi router work without the extra $20 fee? also will the rooting affect the automatic froyo update?

  • do you still need to creat a nandroid backup an boot file ?

  • What is rooting and what does it do?

  • @zeevideo it gives you admin. privileges
