LOL reading down at all the tards scared of a virus ... too funny. I infect stuff on purpose. I wish you people would get over your stupid fears about viruses.
sry im kinda new at this but what does rooting do ? i have been very curious of this can anyone tell me please what is the point of rooting your phone i hear it all the time and have no idea what it is lol please help?>>>
@17143972290 That is not how it works. Download an app from where? If it is from some random site that is known to have problems then yeah you are running a risk, but it wouldn't matter if you are rooted or not you will still get the virus. Unless you are mentally challenged you will not get a virus on your android phone whether rooted or unrooted. If you root your phone you can delete the bloatware and other shit that is slowing down your phone and wasting battery and you can flash a rom on it.
@17143972290 I don't know exactly how to explain it but when you flash a rom you can get a rom that has, say, gingerbread on it even if your carrier hasn't given your phone the update yet and also depending on what rom you choose some will remove all of the bloatware and other things like being able to manage your services and some help make your battery last longer. If I was you I would go to a website like android central where you can get this info. What kind of phone do you have?
i have unlimited data and im useing my driod x and i have been connecting to it more than 3 laptops and my data says i have used 25gb of data although i have unlimited im just worried
is there going to be a charge or something?
how many gb of data should i i use a month?
the reason i'm worried is when u have the vrizon 3g hotspot you only get 2 gb of data and you have to pay 20$
I have a droid X and I went through the process of rooting my phone, I rebooted after successfully rooted message however after the reboot it still is asking me to root it. wifitether is saying device not rooted. what should I do?
@rachelleap1 It basically gives you administrative abilities over your phone. This lets you change all sorts of settings that you couldn't while you were not rooted. For example, you can control how fast your phone goes by "overclocking". This helped on my Motorola Droid since it was slow, but runs a lot smoother now. You can also get free USB and/or Wireless tethering. There are a number of reasons people root their droids. I mainly did it so it can go faster. :)
i cant find easy root i can only find easy root compatibilty and it made me email some guy so is this right cuz i still havent rooted i have been trying all night to root my phone can anyone please help i just want to teather lol
i downloaded the easy root compatibility test, and it telse me that android 2.2 is not supported at this time, wich makes no sense because i have 2.1 on my droid x.
though for those that have the droid 2, this answers your question as to if it will work.
i dwnloaded easy root but it takes me to a website "unstable apps" im using droid x 2.1 wheres the "test" button to send an email to the developer info on my hardware?
can this work on 2.3.3?
