I remember me and my dad were on a vacation. We went to a computer store and picked up this game. The rest of the vacation wasn't the same as I only wanted to go home and play it. <3 C64 forever
I have the shorty intro sequence "Rescue the captives" 7:25 (with the alarm included) in ma brain forever! Awesome! The whole sountrack is amazingly superb too :D
The music playing during the title screen is my favorite, together with AMAZING stuff like Driller etc. The atmosphere... Today's kids just probably cannot imagine what atmosphere games used to have back then... It was just pure magic. Breathtaking... Most stuff on the market today is just cheap and shallow by comparison.
@jakubkrcma you'd be surprised perhaps to learn my 5yrs old son loves this stuff! Only to leave today's music mostly aside also :) I for one am very happy today's autotuned BS doesn't do much for him, but to see him care for actual music instead.
Good ol' FAC (Federation Against Copyright) shouts out to all a ya hardcore ol' school C=64 SID-chip lovers out there! These tunes will be remembered...
I get so frustrated with games that have long load times. Game designers in the 80s knew how to keep gamers from turning off the machine. Of only more game music today was good enough to just sit back and listen for 30 mins.
I used to do that too with my c64 and friends nes. I recorded Megaman 2 soundtrack and some other stuff on tape while my friends were waiting so they could play their own console :)
...and yeah, they had a noisy dog also. Never really cared much about dogs after that ;)
@einokeino303 My point exactly. Lots of games go so far out of their way to protect their games that it just makes pirating easier. In much the same way that downloading a TV show illegally now is much easier than trying to find the DVD in some online shop (which probably doesn't exist).

I recorded the loader and the title separately. The tape from which I was loading the game from bugged soon after the load song ended.
