  • good song dhank

  • @alokjain006 ..You are welcome..

  • A very popular song. Both the tune and the lyrics reach out to people. And the lyrics are also strictly non-sectarian or religious.

Why does every discussion have to degenerate into religion and beliefs? Cant we just enjoy the song and keep our beliefs to ourselves?

  • @bharatcit ..Absolutely correct.. Thanks for sharing

  • Mkumar1963: thanks for the lecture. What have you been smoking?

  • And for that matter there is no comparison with any other religion any other sect or philosophy because all those have come out from this SANATAN DHARMA.

The life and life cycle has been explained in very simple terms in our religion without any complication whatsoever. I hope this will put an end to all the confusion and complications.

  • And in order to get HIS blessings it is important to do prayers, not in the way we offer in our day to day life but from the inner core of our heart. Only then it will be listened to and responded to.

Hinduism is the religion which taught us this basic thing first - the fact which will not change over generations. This is why it is called SANATAN DHARMA.

So there is no reason for any follower of this SANATAN DHARMA and in other words the HINDUISM for being ever ashamed of.

  • We are so ignorant that we do not even know what our actions will lead us to. So we pray to HIM not to let us commit any bad deed but only good deeds.

    नेकी पर चलें और बदी से डरें ताकि हँसते हुए निकले दम |

Even here only our interest is involved. We want to do good so that we die peacefully. without any repentance etc.

Further it is also admitted that the man is so weak (and bound with his own interests) and so incapable that only HE could lead him to right path.

  • But the most important thing is to get blessings from him which give us consciousness and also the guru who enlightens us. So there is nothing wrong in subjugating to HIM to seek his blessings. All of our capabilities have been showered to us by HIM only as a gift. So far as thought of independence is concerned, we are free in very very limited sense that we can decide what our actions should be. But the result is not decided by our actions only but a lot of other factors.

  • And thus this marvellous song comes.

Here the term मालिक and बंदे has been used deliberately to distinguish between the levels of consciousness of the jailer and the criminals. Those hard core criminals in their own way used to call everyone the MASTER who was superior to them and themselves as SLAVES also because this was the typical behaviour in jails.

Now if we consider GOD as the CREATOR and DESTROYER of the universe HE is certainly the MASTER of everything here and we , the SLAVES.

  • In this context this song should be seen. The criminals are having the lowest level of consciousness in humans who are living only for their self interest. The jailer tried to reform them and be useful to society. But they did not realize it and tried to cause harm to him. As a result now he is on death bed and they are at a fix as to how to save his life. Knowing nothing else but the mastery (done by the earlier jail people) and the slavery (done by them), they start crying to SUPREME master.

  • Although we must aim all our activities with this goal in mind, only a few of us are like this. Because we even now do not understand what is good and what is bad for the whole mankind. We are so much immersed in our own interest, greed and lust that sometimes even apparently right things appear to us as wrong. So it is very much likely that we commit sins and therefore are again dragged down the ladder of the consciousness. But we never like it to be so.

  • And because of this we further think of even taking the laws of universe in our hands.

See we have been given consciousness to direct all our activities to the welfare of this world. Even scientific observations carried out by leading psychologists, -analysts, -therapists and psychiatrists all over the world confirm this view. So it is not important that what progress and development we are doing. Important is that whether it is for the welfare of mankind.

  • ramaraksha01 talked about our extinction like dinosaurs. I would like to state that all the living beings, be it human beings or any other living beings, have been CREATED by HIM and also DESTROYED by HIM. Since everything is controlled by HIM in this universes what to say of the capabilities of human beings. But still we have been given lot of power to do good to all entities in this world. The problem is that we have assumed to have supreme power.

  • All these birth and rebirths are in fact opportunities given to you to improve your actions, your deeds which should be only for the welfare of all living beings.

Now suppose we commit some mistake in tis birth, when we get next birth it will be according to the graveness of the mistake and we also get the chance to rectify that mistake. If we do not rectify it, we have to bear the consequent fruits in different births.

  • Since we have this level of consciousness, we are aware of the fallout of our actions or deeds whatever you call it. Now since the actions and deeds should all be for the welfare of first the mankind and then for the whole living beings, in all religion whatever you name (in one way or the other) they are associated with their fallouts. Now this is very simple theory. You do good and you get good. You do bad and you get bad. Based upon this theory we get our birth and rebirth in one form or else

  • The only creature in this universe with the most raised consciousness is human beings. This level of consciousness is available in this physical world and is within our ambit. Other creatures do also have consciousness but at a very low level. The level of consciousness can further be raised. As the levels of consciousness is raised level by level, we get one step closer to what is called DIVINITY i.e. getting the form of GOD.

  • Since HE is the creator , HE is certainly our MASTER. Since he is the DESTROYER, he is again our MASTER. In between he REARS us so again he is the MASTER. This is very simple. But the fact is that we, the human being, are not ready to accept it out of our ego. We think, we can do wonders but the fact is that only HE can do wonders. We are all like puppets in HIS control. But we cannot accept it because of our capability.

  • @granad @ramraksha01I am sorry for repeating same post thrice. The debate is also on HINDUISM and other religions. Use of Sanatan Dharma has also been made in it.

The problem is that we donot understand what our main scripture VEDA वेद says. It accept one ALMIGHTY GOD not in the form of RAM, KRISHNA, SHIV, or any other. It talks of ONE who created this Universe and is continuously building it, destroying it to further rebuild it and to further destroy it. This is an endless process.

  • @granand the song is like this :

    ऐ मालिक तेरे बंदे हम, ऐसे हों हमारे करम,

    नेकी पर चलें और बदी से डरें,

    ताकि हँसते हुए निकले दम ||

the debate is probably on the use of the word मालिक and बंदे by the learned lyricist BHARAT VYAS. The words are metaphors but the meaning has been taken literally, it seems. MALIK does not always mean MASTER and BANDE does not always mean SLAVES. If we see the things in right perspective, here may not be any confusion at all.

  • a v popular song used as a prayer in many schools in the olden times . beautiful and soulful rendition by lataji motivating and encouraging and guiding the young students to develop good characters thanks for posting and thanks mahale ji for forwarding

  • Thanks for liking and comments.

    Thanks to mastkalandr for posting.

  • Some songs are inappropriate for Hindus, I believe this is one. God is not our Malik - Master. That makes us slaves/subjects, we must not lower ourselves to that level. Hindus are Students/children of God. God is our teacher, our goal is not a flesh-happy heaven but Moksha, an enlightened state.

  • 101 gane k liye badhai aapko.

bahot acha laga ye pyari preyar sun k.

gane ki dhun aur bol dono hi man ko chu gaye.

thanx mitr ek se ek badhiya gane sunane k liye.

  • Hello Ramaraksha, People like you are giving bad name to us. Are you even aware the definition of Hindus, can you show that name in the scriptures. What you write has no sense either any sensible believer of any religion esp so with Indian religions first accept god as supreme. Why the hell you pray with folded hands and kneel infront of god? The beauty of Hindus, to borrow the name from you is that we have no codified, no name, no form, no shape of God.

  • Last part of message from Ramaraksha,

Infact the beauty of Hindus is you don't have to be believer, your deeds decide where you go. We have enough morons, praying some street babas, sacrificing animals etc in our religion. You bring shame to us. Go and study religion before you write crap or make views.

  • absolutely right..

  • @granand And they say we Indians are nasty. Wonder where they get that from, lol. God is a Teacher, Love God, Respect God, but do not kowtow to God. Why would God want with slaves? That is my post. Instead of looking to God whenever trouble strikes, I ask Hindus to depend on themselves, don't look to God to bail u out, instead ask for moral strenght & guidance. We have to fight life's battles on our own.

  • @ramaraksha01 For many years, i debated existence of GOD and our rituals, in God's supposed hierarchy, in a zillion stars and planets what one human prayers can do, is there a nominated god for each planet, saw people spending too much time debating god rather than doing the right things. Buddha said it all earlier. This song is not about religion or belief, i think this song if seen in context of the movie, has power to move the strongest. Stress is on the fact WE ARE NOT PERFECT.

  • @granand Please be more respectful & we can continue our debate. I do agree with most of what you said - we should pray to God for guidance & encouragement but we need to do the hard work, God is not going to do that for us. Whether we make this earth a heaven or hell is up to us, not God. It is in this context that I say we should not reduce ourselves to slaves. We should Love God, Respect God, but never FEAR Her. Slaves Fear their Master.

  • @ramaraksha01 I would have to apologise if you feel i wasn't respectful. A little more about my views, i don't pray and when i do it is a ritual to put it in right perspective. I have no opinion of God perse. I don't watch our movie any language and this movie is one i couldn't miss. So all i say is instead of going too much details, just sink in the very inspiring good movie which is even today ahead of times, about prison reforms. I would continue to debate, with hope of seeing views +side

  • @granand Thank u for understanding & sorry for the late reply. we do have somethings in common. I don't pray that much either, i believe in God but I feel that God is like a Teacher & as God Krishna showed in the Mahabharata war, only there to encourage & instruct but will not interfere. We must fight life's battles on our own, whether we make this planet a heaven or hell is upto us, not God. We may one day conquer the stars or go the way of dinosaurs did - but it is upto us

  • @granand you are right that Hinduism doesn't have many do's & don'ts but it is wrong to say there aren't any. Again viewing God as a Teacher, a Teacher will never say this is wrong, She will only point out the pros & cons of any action. U understand why muslims are against imagery yet can't understand why i think addressing God as Master is wrong? Give me the same respect & open mind.

  • @granand A Teacher is respected & loved but should never be Feared. A King, a Master, a Lord is always Feared. You blindly obey a master - master says the sun rises in the west & u blindly agree, but one should never agree blindly with a Teacher. The problem with viewing God as a master is that it makes one weak - life's problems this person will now turn to God to bail him out. Also u remain open to exploitation - Terrorists actually think they are serving their God when they kill innocents

  • @granand Terrorists spring from religions that teach a King like God that must not be questioned. Once followers reduce themselves to slaves it is easy for a conman to make them do terrible things - they think they are simply following the orders of their god. It takes fortitude to question, we can do better.

  • @ramaraksha01 Terrorists are inspired by religion. If religion makes one good or bad, what do you make of Nityanannda, PuttaParthy Baba, Bala Baba countless ..

Religion is a business of weak minded. We are too small and data far less to debate if God exists etc, but God exists and taking Sanathana Dharma philosophy, he can come as tortoise, cow, camel, Lion man, Monkey man, snake etc etc .. countless as forms are his creation. In this song, it captures the emotion of the human being and good

  • @granand read Terrorist are NOT inspired by religion. They are misguided by other factors.

  • @granand We disagree on how terrorists are inspired. They call themselves a soldier/slave of God, well, when a King or General says shoot, the soldier/slave must obey. The target could be a women, child or even a baby! They mock others as Infedels, pagans, God is going to give them hell, so why not kill them? That's the mindset of a Terrorist - blind obeidence to God breeds terrorists & kooks who argue that the earth is 5,000 years old.

  • @ramaraksha01 Ask the good men in the implicit religion/s you refer, disagree with that terrorists, be in any religion. It's too complicated mess. Religion you must know is way of controlling people, managing them and power so it's a abstract business. You picking this song is right views on the wrong place. It's a age old way of saying every thing controlled by god. Which they talk is Destiny and luck each of experience. Surely there are lot in world not in our control, not God, call it destiny

  • @granand Terrorists not inspired by religion? These guys are setting off bombs that kill indiscriminately - women, innocent children are being killed & maimed. This is not the time for political correctness. I am not saying Islam says go kill innocents - but when a religion says non-members are infedels & are destined for hell - it is encouraging violence against them. Forget religion - if i said u are an infedel & are going to hell, I am bad? but religion is not?

  • @ramaraksha01 Now talking of Hinduism, it has no single book, no single dos and don'ts, no single culture. according to me it is not a religion at all. We are just a group of people bonded with stories, a million forms of god. ex: The core philosophy is no form, no shape, omnipotent, omnipresent. Unlike other religions, our Gods too have life span, every one, with diff versions. There are much worse people in our religion too. There are good and bad.

  • @ramaraksha01 The point of discussion is your posts when read gave the impression that you consider this song against Hindu belief. My point is there never any straight forward definition or single view in our so called Hinduism. I agree relation with so called God and us shouldn't be feared and weak . Quintessentially

Hindus do that, God with weapons, fearsome and blood on hands. I believe in Brahma, the knowledge no form/shape/temple. Islam has one good, no idols/no form/shape of god.

  • @granand Hinduism is a Tough faith - Everything is EARNED - Moksha(Knowledge) is EARNED, Repentance is EARNED. While they beg & grovel before the master to gain entry to heaven, a Hindu STANDS Tall, his head held high, accepts his mistakes, comes back to make amends. Anyone can cry & beg for forgiveness, especially if there is a gun of hell pointed at them, but that's just regret or remorse, not repentance. Break something? don't just say sorry, replace it! That's repentance!

  • @granand bada kamzor hai aadmi,, abhi lakho hai isme kami, par tu jo khada hai dayalu bada teri kirpa se dharti thami.......GREAT OHHHHHHHHH

  • @proudlyindian4 Here you go very simple answer in 3 lines. .good one. Admi Bada kamzor hi nahi, Bada complicated bi hai shayad :-)
