It isn't enough to debate whether or not he was a good QB, a great QB, or one of the best to play his position. He brought something to Green Bay and Wisconsin sports in general--a spark of excitement, of enthusiasm--that I had never seen before, nor since.
Every TD, every INT was pure football. It meant more when he threw a TD, more a pick.
When I think of football, I think of Favre--and I have a hard time imagining that ever changing.
I am Packer fan for life and I am from Texas. My love for the Packers did start with favre back in 96 or so. I get pissed at Favre ever now and then but I have come to the conclusion that I will always love Favre no matter what! GO PACK!

I'm a DIE HARD PACKER FOR LIFE but I hated to see him go to the Vikings. But even that didn't stop me from wishing that he had received a 4th MVP trophy for the Viking year that he had. Peyton I don't think deserved it as much. Peyton will never be as good as Favre if he plays at 40 like Favre
Some people will hate Brett Favre for going to the Vikings other people that are true fans will understand why he went to the Vikings and people wont hate him for it. It really ticked me off when he went to Lambeau Field and most of the Packer fans started to boo him. To all those people that booed him I have no respect for you. Its like all you former Favre fans forgot those 16 years and the Superbowl that Brett won for you. Im a true Favre fan no matter what team he is playing for.
