Could anyone tell me the song Ron Carter covered with a rapper in the early 2000's. I don't care about the rapper or rap, but Ron played an upright bass, that had a 'WHICKED' base line & a terrible Riff. I don't remember it, but it was just as nasty as Jaco Pastoris riff. Besides, Snoop Dogg favors this guy.
@MisterGrasshopper Thankyou sir, i listened to the bass, & it sounded good. What i remember back then, there was a rapper alone without the quest, & Ron was playing the bass for a few seconds, & he was ripping it up. Do you know the song & video? Thankyou. Rickames.
@MisterGrasshopper I found out what is was, i'm going to send you the video. If you like to respond i would like to know your assement on what you think. Take care.
The song is "Rico Suave" by Gerardo. You can find it on the rare Riches 2 Rags compilation LP with other classics like "P.A.S.S.I.O.N" by Rythm Syndicate and "Ghetto Jam" by Domino
