this is a stupid comparison. why compare a 2009 infiniti with a 2010 taurus. fords are cheap crappy vehicles. an infiniti is 30,000 dollars more because its reliable and more advanced than any ford.
@nflo671 Infinity is Nissans luxury brand, what you just told me is Nissan makes high quality vehicles. HAHAHHAHAHH right. Compare a Lincoln to a infinity. Ford wins.
@nflo671 Of course, ford just want to look insignificant details look bad to other brands. Compare its V6 Ecoboost (What I acknowledge is good) with an Audi V8 as the Germans have always used small but efficient engines, as well as the succulent V10 and V12 Luxury lines. In this case it fell to Infinity and insignificant detail that is not valid. Ford just wants to look bad to others. Typical of the Americans gringos envious.
Now, how can we convince all the terrible Camry drivers to adopt the idea that they need to get a Taurus? I can't believe how many stupid things I see Camry drivers do. There is something about that demographic that makes most them atrocious drivers - and if you drive a Camry, do not think you are the exception. Check yourself. Do you block traffic doing a massive u-turn across 3 lanes? Do you use your signal? Do you stop on top of the crosswalk? Do you notice curbs? Do you use mirrors?
@criticallistenphile It's not just Camry owners. It's all of the world's self-righteous Japanese car owners who think their "more-reliable-than-American-garbage-because-my-spark-plugs-last-longer" gold on wheels can save them from their own stupidity and ignorance. "More reliable" my ass. Toyotas with sticking accelerators sound exactly like the kind of car I'd trust with the lives of my kids. No, thanks, I'll stick to my '00 Taurus that has run flawlessly for over 150k miles.
@randomness845 Sorry to rain on your parade, but the Toyota sticking accelerator problem was a recall that only applied to Toyotas that were built in the United States factories, by Americans. The Toyotas that were built in Japan did not have this problem. I'm not one to down on Domestic vehicles. The US makes some good ones, but they also make some very bad ones. I have been an automotive service advisor in several dealerships (domestic and foreign). There is a clear difference.
@randomness845 Remember, to many a Japanese car driver, 150k miles is not a huge milestone. There are many Honda motors that go well beyond 300k miles without problems beyond wear items (water pump, timing belt, thermostat) - which are simpe DIY'er jobs given the easy access. I have a 1990 civic that still runs strong. I've put tires, a water pump, timing belt, and tensioner on it in the last 6 years. It's unreal how good of a car it still is. We sold our Malibu at 130k because of problems.
@criticallistenphile Here in Oz we have the exact same problem with Camry drivers. It seems to be a magnet for retards. As Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear says; "If you buy a boring car then it shows you have no interest in driving. If you have no interest in something it means you are bad at it. Therefore, drivers of these cars are bad and should have their licences taken away". Makes sense no? We have a saying here in Australia; "Camry - the new Volvo".
