I agree about improvement. As a Master in Public Administration (MPA) student I can tell you that we have policy for almost everything, but we do not enforce them until consequences reach their maximun. Also the MEDIA set the agenda and force politicians to react, but the red tape created to avoid double dip, and corruption is huge. The bible talk about the fine line that we should follow; in my opinion the best book ever together with "Don Quijote de la Mancha" and "The Iliad" by Homer.

Canada continues exploiting the mines in Cuba. Communist countries are lead by Dictators, at least Capitalism leave us the opportunity of development. It let us be evolutionary. Those labels that Mr. Parenti mentions are created by man kind; not by anything else. There is one thing that we all have in common; and that is our differences.

@reneverdezas All living organisms adapt, including humans. As a biology major, I am quite familiar with our ability to adapt and evolve. Our social structures are simply a manifestation of our biological traits. While I may not agree with straight up communism (I have read much on the subject) I am positive that we can do better than free market capitolism, or at least improve on it.
