Well, it's only your opinion (authorized or not), In Latin there's a sentence which says: "De gustibus non disputandum est". So you are in your own right of discrepe...
This show was brilliant! And perfect charcterization for the time period in which it is set. When it first opened Richard Rodgers said he wished he had written it, no greater praise than that!
I saw 110 in previews- the show itself was subpar but I was just blown away by all the talent onstage. Audra actually brought me to tears at several points.
Audra is brilliant! Broadway is so much better for having her. It's thoroughly entertaining to be floored by not only her magnificent voice but her acting ability as well. If you haven't seen 110- you should!
saw the show today and Audra was by far the most brilliant thing on that stage. the show itself is lacking...I was a little bored at points but whenever she was on the stage I was interested and completely entranced. she's unbelievable.
maybe she's a good singer, but I hate 110 in the shade! they sacrafice reality for a laugh, and the end is kind of weird, not hinted at in the least. some of the characters are unreal.
To be honest, I had never seen it before I saw Audra on Broadway this past month. But I will say, that after Lizzy and the Sheriff's conversation where he tells her his wife would have stayed if he had asked her not to go, I knew how it would end. Perhaps if you had seen the production that Audra was in, you would appreciate the musical more. The characters were all very believable, and I thought the ending was uplifting.
Respond to this video... she has a really nice voice
