Amazing little car, I wish there was a Peugeot 107 tuned like that ! With it's original 1.0 engine ! Anyway, this is a great project, we want more drifting with it !
@jeffgooloolie Did you even listen what the guy said? Weight less than 1000kg, 200hp (doesn't matter if it is 3-4 cylinder, it puts out 200hp, still here its 4cyl). Compare this to Civic Typer-R(1,270kg), 6.4 secs and it's 225hp. This 200hp "less than" 1000kg Aygo does it under 6secs. So?
@qettyz But would you honestly care if a Type R was faster? I wouldn't. I would have this Aygo even if it was a 3cyl turbo that did 0-60 in 7.9 seconds. Who cares about the 0-60, figures. I love the noise it makes. You get a V6 noise which sounds miles better then any Civic reaching 8,000 revs. Instead of Turbo charging a 4cyl 1.8 VVTi for impressive 0-60's, I think the 1.0L 3cyls should rev upto 8,000 with a turbo charger. Even if it is slower on drags, its the fun factor that counts.
@qettyz I don't own an Aygo or a C1. I drive a Seat Leon TDi FR but I used to work for enterprise and I used to drive the 107's and Aygo's a lot. I normally hate small cars but I loved those cars. My favourite out of the A group fleet. Great fun and I could spend all day in one if the front seats weren't so rigid and uncomfortable :-( Aygo's aren't slow like everyone makes out. They will keep up with a 1.4 or a 1.6 litre car anyday. 0-60 is about 10.5 seconds (says 11.5) but its quicker.
@qettyz As much fun as they are to drive. I couldn't live with an Aygo 24/7. The interior noise level would drive me nuts after a week and its too tinny and impractical. Every stone chip and donk can be heard inside the car like its a stripped out rally car. Its great fun to rent out for a few days or to drive on short bursts but I think I would soon get fed up of having no FR overtaking power. I would like to buy one when they become cheap one day and turbocharge it, now that would be a laugh.
@1ns4ne1d10t Noise inside was taken care with methold what we use here in finland: complete shield for under chasis and inside doors etc (rust protection). Huge difference before and after. I also could not think of drive Aygo without that all the time. Also here in finland rules are so stright that it's almost impossible to tune up horse power of a car what is made after 1990 (eu and so on). :( But i am satisfied to my Aygo after getting that whole underneath and door etc covered, no more noise
@qettyz We don't have methold, all our Aygo's are just raw noise. Toyota Aygos are the most stylish exterior bodies out of the C1 and 107 and an Aygo would be my 1st choice. I like the fact they are high geared like a 1.6 on a 1.0 litre engine. You can drive Aygo's really fast and people are gobsmacked because they don't think they are that quick. They are fine until you carry passengers though. When you seat 4 adults it becomes like 20 horsepower. Thats the only drawback to 3 cylinders lol.
@1ns4ne1d10t Yeah, i mostly drive by myself, sometimes with 1 passenger. Everyone buys car to their needs and Aygo is ok for me.I mostly drive in city and maybe 3 times per year to longer. I am not saying that any car is right to anyone, car buyer knows what he/she need and will get that.
@qettyz I don't live in a cramped city where I need a small car. I live in an outer city district area close to rural. I do a lot of rural and motorway driving with passengers so an Aygo would never go down well with my lifestyle. For performance in a small car they have the Fiat Panda. Pandas are good the 1.4 16V's are very quick, 0-60 in 9.5 seconds. I would love to have a 1.4 4x4 Panda aswell as a turbo 1.0 litre Aygo. I could have fun in both cars. Shame I don't have that sort of money :-(
@1ns4ne1d10t I had some years ago fiat punto, i bought it when it was driven about 100k km, i drove it one year and it was 160k km and i switched it to Fabia. But gotta say that with Fiat i had very little troubles, just normal wear with brakes and so on. But after all i gotta say that Toyota has been most reliable for me, after all these years i went back to that one. Fabia was a big mistage...big. All i got to say that i'm happy with my '10 aygo =) We all live in different environments.
@qettyz So did I. My 1st car was a Fiat Punto 1.7TD. It did give me a lot of trouble but I went on to have 3 Fiat Bravo's which were all brilliant. I had a 1997 1.4 12V SX, a 2000 1.6 100 16V SX, and lastly a 2001 1.6 100 16V HLX. Damn good engines and damn good gearboxes. I upgraded to a HLX because I got bored of an SX. The engines were amazingly economical for 1.6's. The 1.4 12V was poor but the 1.6's were brill. They were very well tuned, smooth and rev happy engines. 45mpg was easy!
I drive an Aygo every day. IT'S FUCKING SLOW. How the fuck do you come to the conclusion otherwise? The only thing I ever out-accelerated was a fucking moped.
This is not going to work cuz the car was designed for fwd...it is going to be faster on straight line but that is all.

With 200hp, the 0-60 time should be lower. This car must be heavy, or their engine is running on 3 cylinders.
