Son! That is the way to pick the rag! I am listening to every version I can get an earfiul of. Trying to improve my own. You nailed it! When Pennington buys in you know you nailed it. Fantastic! Keep goin'.
Great: some of the best moves I've ever seen, and I played this on local TV in 1955.and it was also on a Chet Atkins Gretsch. I am still trying to improve and today I use a Hallmark copy of the Joe Maphis guitar. Best tone yet. Thanks for posting.
I have a Song Digital 8 camcorder, but not yet sure how to get it on the tube. Maybe my smarter sister can help. Also I want time to do it over until I feel I can accept it myself. After all, it is the World Wide Web!!!!! Thanks.
Anyone who plays Cannonball Rag that well has a lot of stuff he could post here. Keep it up. Man you got the attention of the great Eddie Pennington!!
great job...i learned and transcribed the same version from old lp...never got he super fast flat picking w/thumb pick at the end. Merle's one of our most under-appreciated geniuses!!!thank you.
You deserve a better recording quality man. This is truely awesome.

fantastic playing. I try this for two years now. you dont have this on tab? I mean the flippy floppy two finger rolls. what chords do you use?
keep on playing. You should make a cd. Just you and your gretsch with fingerpicking stuff.
