  • I know this is an old video but I was wondering if the polish used is the pro-polish 3n, or the p40 polish, thanks, great job man

  • Good Job.... Parabéns pelo belo resultado....

  • Sunlight revealed a patch of hellacious swirl marks you missed on the rear quarter left side. Shame shame. Kidding. Black is no joke. Swirls and scratches live for black paint and are always out there waiting to make their presence known. Black is whack but when properly done commands a presence like no other. It requires great effort to keep the paintwork popping. Get it wrong and your shit just looks like every other scratched and swirled car on the road. Black is a labor of love. well done

  • Polish should be applied before a sealant. They are totally different product. The polish is best applied to untreated paintwork to slowly remove layers of paint which then removes the scratches. The sealant then is applied and has to cure to the paint. Jetseal and zaino z2 with zfx are the best. These need a while to cure/bond to the paint. If applied with polish at same time, it will not work. Very nice car. Did u not polish ur exhaust?

  • how often should i polish my car? i put a new wax on every 3 months. Do you think hand polish is effective (i know its not as effective as polisher)?

  • Awesome work !

  • Good job on the car alott off time and effort went in to get that shine good work man.

  • Great job!! hey man, chemical guys p40 can be used as a finishing polish?? I mean, the last step in a corrective process.

    THX!!

  • extremely nice! what polish do you use...is it a 1 component (all in one) polish for cut and finish in one thing? i like the fan you use when buffing of the wax at the end of the video :D...like people who detail cars with such meticulousness!

  • Nice job! Thats a 6hr detail job though for sure.

  • why do you tape the car? You are using an orbital buffer, it cant spin fast enough to burn the paint. Also why not apply your sealant and polish in one step. I've worked at high line dealerships and that's the way we did it. The end result will be the same and you save yourself time. Overall good job.

  • @atownmack tape is often used to protect the plastic and rubber trim from the polishing and waxing chemicals, which can often discolor or leave a residue that you have to go back and clean off in order to get a professional look. It's the classic "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" situation.

  • Please come to U.K .and treat my car. It's only 6 months old and does not look this good. i will show you what England has to offer

  • Very nice, thorough job. Wish I could find someone with your attention to detail where I live!

  • Have you tried the chemical guys black light product yet?

  • Dude that is an amazing result!!!

After putting so much effort into it, if I saw any bird come within a 10 meter radius of the car I'd shoot it down just in case! Haha!

  • Nice job Vinny!

  • excellent job! how long did this take you?

  • Damn tht sick I should take u my black so u can make it like this haha

  • You rock!

  • The results are simply sick! Way to go my friend! Favs list.

  • Awesome work..

  • How long did it take you to do this job?

  • Hi, in Phase 5 you say the JetSeal is applied with the PC at speed 3. Phase 6 you apply Petes 53' - but HOW??? Is that done with the PC as well or by hand? Thanks for the video, great job.

  • Damn!! thats a freakin black mirror!

    Great job Vinny! :D

  • Hey Vinny , you forgot the tail pipes.

  • @Vnumuss I was just gonna write that...lol

  • what is the first song in this video?

  • intense music

  • How long does the Jetseal normally last ? As long as Zaino sealants ? Incredible shine and I checked the products (Profinish, Jetseal, Petes) they seem to be affordable. Looks like the profinish goes a long way...

  • I tried to find which pro-polish in the comments but couldn't find it... Fantastic job !!

  • I know I have commented on this video before but now I know a bit about polishes and stuff and in fact ordered some stuff for myselft.

This was really an awesome job for 1 step correction, but how come the paint was so good for that year car? You had been taking care of it as you are a detailer or you had corrected it a while ago.

Awesome work man, and if you remember that AudiTT i told you about, I might do that myself now.

    Respect, AliGhanizad.

  • Also how long will jet seal lat on boat?

  • I am a boat detailer...can you use jet seal on hot days in direct sun light on hot surfaces...i why are 2 jet seal applications needed? also can jet seal be applied by hand(many times it is an extreme pain in the butt to use buffer on certain parts of boats..thanks

  • X-men i like it :D

  • u should try dodo juice supernatural! expensive but worth it

  • Forgot to dress the wheel wells @ 8:22 ???????? Looks great though .......

  • @smczack1 Nope it's on there. I don't like a false shine, I prefer the natural color of the tire instead. So after I applied the dressing, I rubbed it in with a microfiber towel to remove the shine but preserve the darker color.

  • @DetailByVinny Oops sorry, great job though !!!

  • @smczack1 those wheels looks clean to me anyway. wheels are easy to clean anyway

  • That I call real high-end detailing with a blazing result! P-E-R-F-E-C-T job which serves as a model for my hobby^^!

  • petes 53 is a fantastic wax!! and this was a great detailing!!!

  • you deserve the price!!!

  • whats the blue tape for?

  • @neenapee The blue tape is used for masking off areas in which he doesn't want the polisher coming in contact. Many compounds, polishes, and waxes will be tough to remove from certain trim pieces.

  • @neenapee its a regular masking tape, color makes no difference. He used it so he wont damage the paint. Its not necessary when polishing a car, just when you use compound.

  • @Tomek016PL

....he used it to keep the polish off all the trim

  • jesus...christ..... this has got to be the cleanest paint job i have ever seen!

How long was did the total process take minus washing the car?

i would love to do this kind of stuff over the summer

  • @SubyReeves The whole process took about 14 hours excluding the car wash. It's very time consuming, but as you can tell it is definitely worth it. Thanks for the compliments!

  • @DetailByVinny do you not use a Paint Thickness Gauge before polishing?

  • @youalreadyknow89 Yes I do use one

  • @DetailByVinny

personally what do you feel is a safe level? anything over 100µ?

  • @youalreadyknow89 Personally, I think it is safe to work with anything over 100, but I don't necessarily get comfortable until I'm in the 115-120 range. When working with a thickness of 100, I will constantly recheck the thickness. If it drops 6, to 94, I will switch to hand polishing.

  • @DetailByVinny

ok thanks for the response...are you using a 7424xp there? P40 polish? since thats a finishing polish...you didnt need to compound first? or will the p40 take care of light-mild swirls and finish smooth enough? looks like you made 6 passes on that decklid...is that what you did on the rest of the car? you were using a blue pad...thats the only combination you needed? no orange? sorry for all the questions i just have a 7424xp on the way and a PTG so im trying to get some info

  • @DetailByVinny

also if you were using the 7424xp with p40 and a blue no cut pad roughly how much paint did you remove from the vehicle?

  • this is a very nice job!!!

  • this is pure sex, awesome job.

And if you can do it yourself, which i can say i can. It is like having sex without the condom. :D

    Awesome job.

  • Good !

    No Glaze ?

  • Awesome where are you located?

  • @XauntjemmimaX I am located in Irvine California, but I can be mobile if needed. Although if I am mobile I need to be able to access water, electricity, and a garage for shade

  • So how much would you charge for a detail job like this one on a 350z?

  • It would be about $300 for a Complete Exterior Detail on a 350Z providing there is no extra damage such as tree sap, heavy scratches...etc. Total time on the car would be about 12-14 hours.

  • what light are you using? regarding wattage and volts

  • good job.nicely detailed.

  • Very nice, you do a great job! What video editing software are you using?

  • very nice bro

  • 2 questions... The VRT dressing doesn't screw up the wax? Or do you use a quick detailer to clean it?

Have you done any trailblazers, if so, how do you handle all the rubber trim they have on them?

  • VRT does not mess with the wax as long as you do not let it sit for too long. I remove any excess immediately with a synthetic detailer and a soft microfiber cloth.

And I have not done a trail blazer yet, so I am not sure what their trim is like. But if it is like I would assume, I would first wash the trim and I would then apply a thin coat of black GEL. I'd let it sit for a couple minutes, then buff off the excess with an old towel and reapply. The GEL works wonders over VRT.

  • niice car man! what's the song that you used at 6:39

  • LOL! great Vid, good Dramatic Music! I'm sure your on Autopia right? Good job on the detail BTW!

  • Self trained or did you attend some shop training?

  • Self trained, but i watched hundreds of hours of film and read countless blogs and such, ill be attending some classes early next year

  • Thanks, just picked up a PC now to start doing my own vehicles, but looks like I will be reading/watching vids as well to learn to start.

  • You can learn so much from vids. If you ever have any questions call chemical guys, they are so good with helping out over the phone.

  • do you still use the porter cable 7424?

  • No I do not. I have upgraded to the Flex 3401 now. It works so much better, there is so much more power. I do still use the PC to seal though. It is much easier to maneuver with one hand which speeds up the process.

  • Thought id comment on this again...this is PI5T0LP3T3 by the way. I made a new account so i could post up videos of some of my work. When they are up let me know what you think.

  • Alright sounds good! I'm looking forward to seeing your work.

  • Did you use pro-polish 3n or pro polish acrylic?

you have 1 gallon of wash&gloss and near

There 1 gallon white colour bottle ...what is this?

  • Thanks man! I use Pro-Polish+. I was happy with the results the acrylic was giving me, even on ceramic paints, so I didn't see a need to change to the 3n. I think the gallon that you are talking about is my VRP.

  • Great work vinny !! this best detailing clip in youtube ..

  • Yep! : ), How long have you been in business?

  • Not too long. I started about 6 months ago. What about you? Do you own a real shop?

  • Dang thats creep I did the same haha, start around end of February, no not yet in the process of starting one, I have a shop, clients, and insurance, working on getting more clients, and a llc

  • Great Job! Very Detailed Video! By the way nice name! :thumbsup

  • Great minds think alike!
