Again...i am a libertarian, i think everything should be privitized, even the currency markets with barter and exchange systems which is slowly happening. So im not a fan of hamiltons every ideas they were solutions for that era is all.
5. Hamilton was an abolitionist, jefferson owned slaves...and apparently he owns lorenzo....what a fucking joke.
6. each one of these framers were right about some things and wrong about others...but they were great men...lorenzo is a big dope spinning history
continuing on with the lorenzo big fat piece of crap.
4. hamilton and jefferson weren't arch enemies, they just disagreed on some things. Hamilton actually endorsed jefferson in his race against burr and jefferson won because of hamilton's endorsement. Hamilton then continued to go after burr in the ny gov race and as you know burr shot him to death. do you think some slob like lorenzo would put his fat ass on the line like that for principle...and the answer is........HELL NO........
2. Hamilton did what he percieved was necessary to keep the us strong and well defended, that's why he created things like a central bank and financing to pay off and support the military, again hamilton had a clue because he was a decendant of nobility and he knew what it would take to keep the usa alive.
3. Hamilton did have enourmous impact on the development of finance, markets and the military as he led the revolution with washington, unlike jefferson
Jesus christ what a big fat stupid turkey this lorenzo clown is. I'm a libertarian, I actually voted for ron paul in 88....so here is my reaction to this clowns statements.
All of these founders and framers had differing ideas but they worked together.
1. Hamilton had studied empires from his father's books who was a decendant of scottish nobility, that is probably why hamilton had a better grasp of economics and what was necessary to protect the country.
DiLorenzo is great! He really shows up how 'intellectuals' consider the role of the state in society in that flight through their ideas on Hamilton. He was the advocate of Central-Banks, government spending, tariffs, a government ordered system of intervention ie corporatism or mercantilism...that was just adhering to America's colonial economic policy, it was BETRAYING the Revolution which was a capitalist Revolution, as all spontaneous revolutions are for capitalism is the economy absent govt.
It was recorded feb. 2, 2009. But you're right, his books is worth a lot more than self written autobiographies. I am also looking forward to his next book on native Americans.
