YouTube claimed to start supporting 1080p, so I wanted to try it out. YouTube must be a compulsive liar.:P
No, it's because Windows Movie Maker encodes 1080p video in a way YouTube doesn't understand correctly.

No, WMM is retarded! What it's doing is encoding it at 1080p but standard size, then Windows Media Player strectches it to widescreen. YouTube expects the resolution to be widescreen, therefore it screws it up.
You expects 1080p to be 1080x1920, but WMM encodes it at 1080x1440. So it gets screwed up.
