@iamthedrumm , Hey thanks for the correction. I didn't know that he actually dumped her. For I knew that he had married another woman around the time his Choronicles Album was produced.
@lmnresearch Thank you for the info! I guess it was a year later that I have bought the LP *Talking Back to the Night*...Very nice album, but I think the whole recording, like this song, was made in *Dolby C* (noise reduction filter). Certainly a not so clever invention in that periode....just before the CD quality was arriving! *Dolby C* was killing the quality of the recordings! However, great memories on that period :-)
@ludo281160 ~ Well now, who just made our day!?!?! What a great song, by a great artist; today, an especially great share that is very much appreciated, our dear friend! Thank you so much Ludo! Yes! We are "still in the game" !!! Bless your heart!
*Special thanks to "stevewinwoodvideos" for a wonderful upload!*
Steve has too much talent to be real, but at least he shares it with us.

Not a huge fan of Steve Winwood's 80's output, but this is a great tune!

His first wife, Nicole. She did backup vocals for Steve and for Jim Capaldi (on his LP Fierce Heart).

Who's the woman in the video? Looks like Rickie Lee Jones.
bucky468 11 months ago
@bucky468, that's Steve's late wife Nicole Weir. She passed away back in 1986.

@lmnresearch Actually, she died in 2005. Steve dumped her in 1986 as soon as the album went huge and he became popular with the young ladies again.

Was it 1983? I have at last the LP, not the CD!

@ludo281160 Close. The album came out in the fall of '82. And I, too, have the LP but not the CD!

This song is one of my all-time favorites, and IMHO is his most underrated.
