I have been listening to this one ghazal from Jaga ji since release of this album and have not stopped counting. But not even a single time I have lost the freshness of its spine tingling effect. Waaah...I must admit jaga ji never taught me in person ,...BUT today what I do is mostly inpired by what he has delivered. One of the greatest ghazal composers to happen to the concept of poetry is JAGIT SINGH. thanks for sharing.

This is a 'ghazal'. 'Ghazals' are poetic compositions having rhyming couplets with each line sharing the same meter. You're right about the 'eyes' in the first stanza. The first couplet means- 'Let me step into the sea of your eyes, I'm your culprit, let me drown & kill myself'.

It is not Jakhm...it is Zakhim (wound) in Farsi. One of the great songs of Jagjit singh.
