  • That looks like a lot of work and not too much space on those cars. Thanks for videoing!

  • Thanks you for to showing swap engine.

  • great video.....small question........why didn't you just REBUILD the one you pulled??

you drove that in to park right? what made you get the donor engine as a replacement versus rebuilding?

  • It was cheaper and easier to do a swap over than to rebuild the old engine. a rebuilt head was over $1200 alone, the whole long block I bought was $1200 in total.

I still have the old short block and will fit a rebuilt, shaved and ported head eventually.

  • love ur vids insteresting how the alternator has a exaust tube thats wat it is isnt it? to derect heat away?

  • the duct on the alternator is for cooling air coming in through the front bumper, directly into the windings and out the alt casing.

  • Dude, you need to clip your fingernails!

  • so do i lol

  • lol meh, its normal for a grease monkey like me

  • I always keep mine trimmed short, for some reason long fingernails annoy me quite a lot! :P

  • Nice video, is that an air cooled alternator?

  • 140-amp forced-air-cooled alternator...

  • I think a Delco alternator would work; not as easy to service as a Bosch but just as good. Iskra alternators are similar, but I wouldn't know how much one would cost.

  • yeah, a delco replacement is an option.

I'll do the brushes and bearings first

  • cool. cant wait for part 3.hahaha

  • darn you and jagnut are lucky get to have fun, work on stuff and trade stuff and etc lol
