We've had a Republican alternative for 8 years... where has it gotten us? Last time I checked, Republicans lost more seats in the congress so why should their policies even matter? I'm glad to see every Republican voted against this plan... it must be a good one. Afterall, not a single Republican voted for Clinton's 1993 Deficit Reduction Plan and it was a great success.
