  • Thank you for posting this. My Dad was in WWII and thankfully was one of the men who made it back home. I look for his face in every old WWII newsreel. I cannot imagine what these men went through - how they fought and sacrificed their lives for us and the USA. Thousands of these brave men lost their lives. It is a debt of gratitude than we can never repay but we should always show these precious men very much respect and thank them every chance we get for helping secure our freedom. God Bless

  • @west15172008 my grandfather served in all 6 years of WWII. I'm always watching Canadian WWII footage to see if i can find a face, a name, anything. Nothing though. Can't even find his picture in his brigade! He had a massive scar from a bayonet going up his left arm, too, so says MY dad. I even wrote a letter to the Canadian Records and shit, and they only sent me paperwork and documents. Apparently he NEVER served in the 1st Canadian Parachute Division, which is utter bullshit. I know he did.
