I've noticed many people will do this, which I don't mind, as it was made for all Star Trek fans, but at least a nod to the creator would be nice. They usually don't though. My Star Trek as A-Team was majorly ripped off by some real jack-ass! Most Trek fans have kind hearts so I am convinced that guy is NO Star Trek fan.

Mm, the explosion at the end was a bit gratuitous and out of place, but not bad overall. Maybe instead of a random fiery explosion, have the words drop out of warp toward the camera? Would be more fitting I think.

For now I watched only 4 TNG episodes+Generations and First Contact, and they look cool, like this intro; Dorn is handsome with that klingon make-up and Sirtis shows her big theet.

But why Paramount didn't put the "These are the voyages" intro in the other series? It is so exciting...

I hope they made a new series in the rebooted timeline.

Using the Starfleet emblem as a frame for the characters was really interesting, but the shots of the Enterprise-D were a bit overdone considering the opening passes. I also agree with Mobster--the explosion was too MacGyver-like and was definitely uncalled for.

Huckbone, your Star Trek TOS version is, hands down, my favorite but this one gave me goosebumps when Picard started to speak. You have done some fine work here. Just a few small thoughts, my friend...

1) Showing clips of characters in action during their actors' credit is very, VERY seventies. Lovely compositing work, but very very cheesy.

2) The shape of the embelem is inaccurate.

3) Do we really need to see the title of the show twice, and in two different, inconsistent styles in one opening sequence?

There are two actual problems with it, the first big one is the explosion at the end, its too much... and two, the emblems are too big. they are blocking the enterprise, if you moved them somewhere on the screen maybe bottom left it would be better. but you definatly are on to something awsome!!

Actually check "Star Trek TNG Fan Opening - No Boom" and you get that solution. As far as the emblem being too big, I wanted it that way to favor the actors, not the ship. However, if you check out "Star Trek Original Series Intro & End Credits - Fan Version" I did, the emblem is moved over to view ship shots better.
