  • Agreed. Turbo spooling. Most of the time, when you rebuild them, you just maladjusted the waste-gate. BTW, that will also cause a low boost problem with some slight noise.

  • It was the turbo, I had it professionally rebuilt and it solved the problem. I would never try to rebuild a turbo myself again. they are very high toleranced and very hard to get it put together perfect even after a good balance.
