I guess 70's was awesomwe, 80's and 90's kind of...2000 and after...I feel sorry for my generation, standing between depressive, techno or totally obvious pop. Today, 90% of the lyrics rhyme with "itch", and it sells.

They're just hard to find. Plus theres always been this, "10 years of good music, stagnation, then more good music". I think she sort of has the same thing going on; her voice isn't distractingly unique and therefore allows the song to come through. Since this is a good song, that is a good thing.
