    To overly simplify it, it's the language the CPU uses. It's like a switch. 1 is on, 0 is off. A collection of 1s and 0s make a character, and characters make code. This is an extremely simple explanation, but you can google it for a more complicated, realistic answer.

    Yes, that's right, but when you look into an ASCII-table, you'll see that the characters with values from 48 ti 57 are the numbers. I'm pretty sure, but correct me if I was wrong. Too lazy to look it up.

  • wow, your binary is right for binary to text conversions, but real binary is from binary to dec. for example 00000000 is 0 10000000 is 128 11111111 is 255 00010000 is 16 so on and so forth. each 0/1 representing a number 128.64.32.16.8.4.2.1 a 0 meaning a logical no and a 1 as a logical yes. once i saw what you have for zero i knew that you have no clue how binary completely works. 00110000 is 48 not zero.
