You should try playing on a modded server without the 25 pounce limit. I nail 35+ (when I'm lucky, even 50+) pounces on a daily basis.

This one time in L4D2, we were playing Hard Rain, and it was the 3rd part, where you have to go back to the safe house from the gas station. I was on the catwalk, right after the big elevator building and the giant vat-things. Completely blind jumping as the hunter, I pounced PERFECTLY on some dude and killed him. :3
