ok so everytime i do that in iMovie, my clip doesn't play :/ i add the speed effect just as i would any other effect, and after it renders the effect, poof! My clip is virtually nonexistent, and it skips right on to the next clip. It's driving me nuts!! anyone have a solution?? i'm using iMovie 5 still :(

Great feature. I created some music videos using Garage Band for the music, an ipod nano to shoot video and a imovie to create music videos to my original music. Check it out if you get a chance. The speed up and slow down feature adds a lot.

And if you mean that you can press ctrl and then "right click" that´s not a right click button on the mouse and it limits the functions for when your using 3d programs or such. I don´t know if it´s just my mac, but it sucks. I´ve got a power mac or something like that with a 1.6 GHz processor and if I play a movie or run more then like 3 programs at the same time the computer next to crashes :P And I just think Imovie isnt logical, compared to windows movie maker

:D Yeah, that might be the problem. I too had a power Mac, and I hated it. So they got me a new Mac, and I absolutely love it now. iMove is just as logical as windows movie maker, and I think its pretty much the same. Unfortunately, I think its also bloated.

Yes it does. If you talk and u speed it up, your voice will sound chipmunk. But you have to talk really slow. :)

yea you can you just click on the video footage and in the corner theres a little thing that looks lieka gear kinda thing i dont know what its called and then you go to clip adjustments and the you convert the video where it says speed and then you change the speed its really easy

If you have iMovie 08, I believe you can still get a free download of iMovie HD from the apple site. Just google it. iMovie 08 has absolutely no features, so you're better off downloading HD.
