@UserUK201 I think they hired Pete Best to be a drummer at last minute and he never really meshed with the other three--who were the real nucleus of the group--even Ringo feared sacking when he missed time with appencitis. However, Pete Best's family did have some connection with The Cavern Club, which gave them a venue to build an audience. I always felt badly for Pete, but read he received millions from Anthology residuals, so feel less so.
