  • My calculator got more cores :D

  • @Richieres979 pff!! yeah? my potato have more... xD

  • but intel and IBM make 128thread. 68 core?

  • damn i need this for bf3 :D ^^

  • @Alkahdaniel will bring you zero benefit...

  • @Invisiman really ? did you ever heared something, called irony ?

  • M0AR C0ERS!1

  • o ye , that's on my wish list now :>

  • I cant wait to see how clustering in windows in the near future will allow us to share this performance. . Eventually This tech could replace the need to upgrade computers and every one will look at the "Folding" rating of there pc in the priority it has with the servers.

  • nice comp

i think i could blow a whole minecraft map into hell with a that strong machine without crashing

  • @web1bastler nah, only time you will be able to do that is when they get rid of java :P

  • can i buy this pc? i want to play battlefief 3

  • a normal game only uses 1-2 cores like crysis so...

  • Intel just got left behind? XD

  • ...

  • This CPU is RECTANGULAR. It's not a typical square processor.

  • Bottom Right = Rebel Core.

  • 48x ___GhZ = ___ ???????

  • WTF? O.O O.O O.O O.O O.O O.O O.O O.O O.O

  • that coon is not in the right place shouldnt he be hyjacking a car? or robbing a 7/11?

  • can it run notepad?

  • hey guys that's not funny!!!

  • ^Can it run Super Mario?? I think no

  • it run tetris?

  • Comment removed

  • And the computer security is the black guy

  • Get this cpu and AMD WILL offer you an AC unit to cool it down :)

  • OMG !!!

    48 CORES :O

    My Wish !!! xD

  • Ok, 48 cores! I'm sure fsx will lag anyways!

  • @AN225brando i don't think so...^_^

  • @AN225brando so true!

  • he's previous job fas facecontrol at a clubs outdoor .

  • playing gta 4 on this , i think its like playing solitare on pentium 4,hahaha

  • 48X2.0 Ghz = 96GHZ prozessor speed

  • @denidz94 you cant calculate the processor speed like this ...

  • @MrX13415 so you cant play a game witch needs an 3.0 Ghz processor on this processor well

  • @denidz94 ghz is only frequency, not necessarily speed.

  • And what is the price?

    i want one XD

  • Comment removed

  • can it run tetris?

  • @IAmSomeoneOrOther intel has an 80 core, on a single chip if im not wron, not an intel fanboy, i use an 1055t, but you have to face the facts

  • Is that Cee Lo?

  • lol

  • Still slower than Intel.

  • @TheMuffinManshow Depends.

  • Мудаки на! Чё вы тут говно месите? Это сервер на хуя ему запускать Crysis или пусть даже Minecraft? Мудаки и ещё раз мудаки!

  • But will it blend???

  • now i can watch 48 pornos at the same time

  • Ooohhh Intel 16 cores*4= 64 cores (128 threads!) :OOO

  • @Cursecut3r Intel doesn't have a 16-core processor. The highest end one they have is an 8 core.

  • @IAmSomeoneOrOther Is a 10 core, but generally you put more than one processor together for something like what is shown in the video.

  • i would like to run 3ds max with Vray render

  • thath thing is for server not for playing games.....

  • 48 core computer running Windows is a waste!

  • God, don't mess with AMD: their marketing manager will rip you in half....

  • New Opterons might have 16 cores.

  • the guy looks like a bouncer at a night club

  • I like the proscessing power to run GAMESS (General Atomic and Molecular Electronic Structure System) software in parallel mode... while more cores and speed, better...

  • @AMDUnprocessed You look like Cee Lo Green! Lol! :)

    Do you sing FK You???

  • BADASS!!! PROCESSOR! FUCK!!

  • NICE AMD LOVE YOU but oem and local bilder systems does not provide none of your products because they are paid not to guuess by who ??? intel

these afirmation is true I know a lot of people involved in IT they are managers and they said these thinks to me.PLEASE TAKE SOME ACTION AGAINST intel.

  • NICE AMD LOVE YOU

  • i just saw this video for the first time and just about nut myself when he said 48 cores & then amd on top of that, wow!!! ^_^

  • Making a couple o' porn servers at great prices i'm gonna get rich!!!!!!! : )

  • this is not for game guys...this is for crytical situation on industry or bussines :)

  • noise as hell

  • 48 cores lol !!!

i have 2 and my pc power is ok for ME !

    wow amd youre best !

    nice price !

    and Quality!

  • Can it run crysis?

  • @undefinedArray no ...

AMD has broken in crysis :'/

    go intel XEON E7500

  • @capatais777 Better yet, dual X5680's on a SR-2 board...since you can actually play games on those Xeon processors and not Opteron server CPU's.

  • @undefinedArray i love crysis

the % in this video are 60 - 100 running far cry 1 (cryengine 1) on minimun settings

  • @undefinedArray No, its a server based processor.

  • @undefinedArray no thats not the question

    so can it run farmville????

  • @undefinedArray Two 8 core AMD Opteron processors on a ASUS KGPE-D16 board would be a sick setup, but I don't wanna waste my money if it cannot play any FPS games. I have looked everywhere, there's no fucking answer if a machine like that is stable enough to play games. I've youtubed Opteron gameplay, and googled. There's nothing related or any answers pertaining to these server computers being able to play games. Like I said, I'd rather not waste money if the AMD Opteron 6174's can't play. ;)

  • @undefinedArray Crysis will only need 4 of the 48 cores...

  • @undefinedArray Probably not smooth...

  • @undefinedArray trust me , it can't :|

  • @undefinedArray you mean minecraft

  • @undefinedArray be pretty F up if it couldn't!

  • @undefinedArray Can it run Minecraft?

  • @undefinedArray

No. To play Crysis you need 128 cores. *LOL*

  • Thank you for counting to 48 for me, I really was struggling at 8.

  • WHAT THE FUCK...i tought my 4 cores are much....lol

  • @k3v1nfbr This isnt for consumers. Its for servers.

  • 10,000 FPS FTW!

  • Look honestly I was trying to say higher hz with higher frames looks closer to real life motion rather than 60fps@60hz. I'm not trying to overthrow your perspective just saying there is a difference. The notepad was a bad example so you can stop your flaming.

  • *WTF? 48cores? :~)

  • with quad 6990 HD

    and 24 gb corsir dem

    Awsome!!!!!

  • this guy look like a bouncer

  • Awesome all the games on the wourld could be played at the same time with NO LAG :P

  • @MrAlexanderTV Do you really think this thing can run billions games? in this prosessor what dont have enought cores to run even 100 games(3D games vith low graphic will crash because lac of memory, hdd speed, video memory and more. To run so many games it can be done by computer hives in one set up. But that will cost even if technology is so good that it cant be better never:DXDX

  • AMD RULESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish they'd stop throwing more cores at us. I don't want more cores that all but a couple of programs can't even take advantage of. And gaming is the worst application for all these 6 and 12 and 48 cores. Your typical game will not even be maxing the processor but the GPU is its bottleneck.

  • @nexus1g which is why 12 cores are marketed specifically and only for servers. they actually can take advantage of a huge number of cores.

  • @beavismagnum The problem is lack of alternatives for the consumer market.

  • @nexus1g there are plenty of alternatives, just most or all of the better options (depending on price range) come from Intel

  • Intel Extreme 6 cores > AMD Opteron 12 cores...

  • @AphamX and costs more

  • @beavismagnum not really, amd has multiple opteron cpu's ranging from 800~1600. Even so four intel i7 950's (800 dollars) would own the opteron by a long shot.

  • @AphamX no they wouldnt even come close do your research before speaking

  • @AphamX only problem is you can't have four i7 950s on one board. this is why these are SERVER CPUs. they are NOT targeting the consumer market, just as the i7 950 does not target the server market. theres is a market for these CPUs (they sell don't they?) you, however, clearly don't understand it.

  • @beavismagnum are you reading what I'm writing?! I know i7's aren't server cpus, that's why I said you can cluster them =.=. Xeons beat the opteron still, you can even check benchmarks and comparisons, xeons still outperforms the opteron.

  • @AphamX wrong the opteron out performs do your reseach

  • @The91489 AMD Opteron 6176 12 cores around 1,300. Two Intel i7 950's outperforms it, I could but 6 for 1,200, cluster them and psh, shit loads faster than the Opteron. But hey, I'm comparing a server processor to a regular desktop processor. Let's cut to the chase. Intel Xeon = Server Processor, 6 cores 6 Logical, Opteron = 12 cores, Intel Xeon is about 300 dollars less yet it outperforms the Opteron. This is why I trust Intel with my renderfarm cpu's. All five of my comps run Intel.

  • @AphamX you must not be looking up your research in the right places amd out performs intel in every way, price, performance, temp, technology i mean when it comes down to it when amd releases there bulldozer cores this year intel is out period end of disscusion look up the bulldozer architecture intel cant come close its a 30 nm 8-10-12 core processors they even have one up to 24 cores hmm whats intels max like 12 ha like i said intels done

  • it's 4 processors 12 cores each in 1 system, not a single processor with 48 cores

and just you wait till' Intel brings out a 100 core system (Intel FTW!)

  • @TheUltimateAddict actually intel said they would focus on making fewer, more efficient cores. keep in mind they already have SMT cores anyway

  • @TheUltimateAddict intel isnt that smart lol

  • it's 4 processors 12 cores each in 1 system, not a single processor with 48 cores

  • i feel bad for amd i hope their next acrhitecture will rape intel, clearly intel has the market in selling cpu's buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttttttttttt amd is really cheap and i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE their gpu's, I think amd should major in their graphics cards and not cpu, obviosly the normal person gives a shit less about cpu's for gaming they just want great graphics soooooooooooo gpu's will sell like porn being selled to little kids

  • @skimowhite586 OOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR they could focus on fusion, which literally is the future of technology.(ultimately SOC)

  • As fast as the world fastest supercomputer in 1996

  • @spikkel70 No its much faster than that.

  • @spikkel70 The fasters computer in 1996 was deep blue which is a 30 core 120mhz ;)

  • @mowcno444 deep blue is a different beast with dedicated chess chips. The version of 1997 was twice as fast as the one in 1996 and was about 11 gflops total (I suppose without counting the chess chips) and ranked at the 259th place in 1997. One amd opteron core is about 10 gflops so this system is 480 gflops. The fastest computer in 1996 was a 2048 core 150mhz hitachi and did 450 gflops. The ASCI Red in 1997 reached about 1300 gflops on 4500x 200mhz pentium pro

  • i have 1 core ROFL

  • i have 2 cores :)

  • 48 núcleos ... wow...

  • Nice, but didn't mentioned number of sockets, hyperthreading etc.

  • WOW WOW

  • OMG those cooling fans just kills it. I know the audio sounds compressed but damn, it sounds like a jet engine!

  • @Romxero It's a server..

  • Comment removed

  • @Romxero The description says it's a server, the tags says it's a server, it sounds like a server, it's running a server OS.

    It's a server.

  • Comment removed

  • @Romxero Because servers are not made to be quiet, except for those intended for standing under your desk.

  • @Myztik7 I don't care, it is still too loud. That thing doesn't look like its in a data center to me. Even if it is its too loud.

  • @Romxero You're an idiot.

  • @Myztik7 Yes I am!I like dog on the pizza and its seven! :-PHonestly my cluster isn't even that loud, way to loud!

  • @Romxero It can't be too loud when it's supposed to be in a location where nobody can be able to hear it...

  • @Myztik7 Well guess what! I'm the person who has to go into Data Centers with a jacket on to service equipment. So people do hear it. Its too loud, btw where are you located? Because where I am I can drive down to AMD headquarters and tell the front desk its too loud! lol. Norcal!

  • Still can't run tetris.

  • @Edge0fPain LOL XD

  • raytracing crysis on that ;)

  • He looks like a cave man.

  • Intel just developed 48 core processor on a single die!!So if u had a board that has 4 sockets (like the one in the vid) for that cpu u could have a 192 cores i a single pc

  • @luigi4562 And then you would instantly become God.

  • Could just be a flash video :d future =today sif

  • why are those cores working like half and that with 48 cores....

  • @mothekiller1 its a stress test like super pi or cinebench

  • getting ready for crysis 5... O.o

  • 0:30 4 processors x 12 cores :| Lol not 1 !

  • @MrRraresh wheres intels 12 core then?

  • would it be possible to set up a Magny-Cours rig with 48 cores, and have 24 thin clients(2 cores per client) and just have this one server crunching for a whole classroom of kids?

  • @thebeetalls yes it is. But don't have to specify the cores for each client. Workload will spread out accordingly...

  • a VRAY render with this new toy would be super fast...!!!! perhaps seconds per frame?

    Really really cool...!

  • i will give you $1 for it and put my pc and windows 7 rate it 7.9 then overclock it

  • Lol @ you guys talking about gaming on this. Processors like this weren't made for gaming. Most programs (including games) won't use like 90%+ of these cores so don't even think about buying something like this if you're a gamer

  • Sometimes, GHz cannot be determine alone, and this also may apply to cores. Other factors must also be taken into consideration. AMD is okay. But I still would rather stay with Intel.

  • what a dope computer case, with that fat AMD logo on it where did they get that??

  • correction wisfalls is on 2012 when bulldozer enter to the server market, 2 years later of the magny cours

  • Someone asked if you could use this with a desktop OS like Win 7. Yes and no. A desktop OS will only support 2 sockets, it will support as many cores that will fit on those two sockets. Win 7 would only show 24 cores. 2 sockets x 12 cores. If you wanted to use all 4 cores you would need a server OS. Now in 2011 AMD plans to release a 16 core. So 2 sockets x 16 cores = 32 cores. Win 7 would support all 32 cores. Bottom line, pointless to buy a MB with more than 2 Sockets for desktop OS.

  • I pity da fool who don't want 48 cores.

  • holy mother of crap!!!! 48 cores!?!?!?!?!? this processor spit in intel!-

  • i'll laugh and cry at the same time if this can't run Crysis at max

  • @childofdreamz amd is shitty intels quad cores have 12mb l3 cache

  • @ezkeyboardkid58 i see some jealousy there :D just to remind you Intel =4 cores as you stated above Quad Core, then there's (48) cores you gotta admit that's tasty

  • @ezkeyboardkid58 sorry if i ofend you but: THE INTEL CACHE IS MIRRORED, the cache u can use = the amount of l3 cache. amd has 48 way l3 cache while intel has 16 way. (AMD.s l2 cache is 16 way)

    intel inside = idiot outside

  • when will the 12 core desktop (phenom) comes out?

  • @machvelocy codename bulldozer, next year maybe...

  • holly shit... this is freaking monster

    When is the release date?

    future is fusion xD

  • Cool !

  • I have the Specifications of The AMD OPTERON on my channel!!!

  • the guy looks like a bouncer of a nightclub ^^

  • can you try Crysis benchmark :P

this server and two 5970 if it's posible

    \'''/ (-.-)\'''/

    AMD FTW

  • its not a 48 core processor its 4 processors on one motherboard with 4 cores each and then with hyperthreading or whatever amd's version of hyperthreading is. either way still impressive

  • No they actually have 12 cores each.

  • no, it's 4 cpu with 12 core each (no hyperthreading)

  • OMG intel ... attention !

  • Imagine this with a bunch of 5970s. I bet you could run Crysis maxed out on like 20 computers.

  • @Daftpunkfan123 Your retarded. Server processes function much differently then desktop processors.

  • @fightoflife4 Cool Story Bro.

  • @Daftpunkfan123

    or the nvidia tesla

  • @Daftpunkfan123 lol yeah i know.

  • @Daftpunkfan123 Cores have hardly anything to do with graphics wise.

  • @Daftpunkfan123 u mean two 5970

  • @Daftpunkfan123 You see, I wouldn't mention how many computers it could run Crysis on max, I would mention it could probably run Crysis on 2000 Fps LOL :D

  • @Daftpunkfan123 Wow, Crysis, what a purpose for such an processor!

Come on, wake up these things are not made for gaming!

  • @Daftpunkfan123

With at least 150 FPS on 1920 x 1080 resolution i would be satisfied.
