WITH PVP. they should cancel out your level. So for ex, a level 50 can fight a level 100 fairly. Your equipment and skill is what should make the difference.

Yes! katy , katy , KATY! Parrying all over Gwyn's ass! Just finished him with the fire mailbreaker, feels good! Parrying is actually the easy strategy I think, I tried 3 times without parries, but he just destroyed me. With the parrying dagger I succeeded instantly! I thought I would stop playing this game after Gwyn, but the game just pulls me back in! Can't wait for Demon Souls too!

quick question...roughly how long did it take you to beat your first playthrough of Dark Souls?

@TheSwartt I can't give a good estimate, because I leave my PS3 on while I'm editing and making notes and stuff. I would guess around 30 hours, maybe? Just a guess. It took longer than it should, because I was playing in Japanese and I had to translate a lot of stuff in the beginning. I also like to experiment with different ways to fight bosses, so.. yeah.

Not sure. 30ish hours feels like a good estimate.

@Atqc13 It's quite impossible to beat the boss without a divine weapon, I highly recommend you if you want to beat him without much trouble, then make hell fast an upgraded divine weapon (like a divine halbard for example) and the crystal ring shield, then wait for Nito in the boss area. Kill the first 3 minions and keep moving to dodge red swords that burst out of the ground, then while equipped the divine weapon, keep using your crystal ring shield attack from distance. Hope it will help you

@MarcoCaroAdriaans He's much tougher than many people say. If you have a Black Knight Shield upgraded, you can block his attacks pretty easily and poke him down with a spear. This can be helpful if you are having trouble.

@EpicNameBro Actually I have a full Silver Knight set upgrades, armor, shield and weapons. I use a Claymore +15. In Demon's Souls I also had little problems, except with FlameLurker. Like in there, fully melee and not a light armor. For some reason, can't bring this guy down.I probably can take him down with a lighter armor, but I want to take him down with this one. Nice job on those parry's btw, makes it look easy. Last night, I started something new ... Darksiders :P.

@EpicNameBro Gotta say, first time I downed this guy I ended up abusing a pillar ( I was melee ), I would bait him to attack me through the pillar, wait for it to end, hit him quickly with my Demon Greataxe+15, then run back behind the pillar, it was...a bit cheap but I'd tried everything until that point, never even knew he could be parried!

Upgraded Black Knight Shield + Spear (easiest method)

Two hand a strong weapon like the Zwei and go for staggers

Check the video responses for a level 7 NG+ melee only kill.

2) Upgrade a weapon to +10 and then take the soul and the +10 weapon to the giant smith.

There are many different boss weapons, so I can't tell you the stats. I don't know which one you are trying to get.

I entered this room with a feeling of accomplishment, I felt like I was about to change the world around me. What I got was a frail old king Scared of Darkness fighting to survive, that is when I truly felt like the unexpurgated evil that destroyed Lordran and Anor londo My emotions were the final boss. damn every time i watch you own a boss with the black knight halberd i get pissed i didnt get the drop in the basin(tryed the serpant ring on the knight in the catacombs and kiln). i have a black knight sword +5 but the damage just is about 100 less and the reach is much less obviously. parrying gwyn like a boss lol

The black knight in the Kiln respawns. You can just kill him repeatedly until you get the Halberd.

My advice for getting the Channelers Trident is to ignore all the enemies and simply run right up to the channelers and kill them because that seems to increase the drop rate. I spent hours trying to farm the trident by killing all the enemies and then the chanellers and I didn't get it. Then I decided to sprint past all the enemies and kill only the chanellers and got it on my second or third run. I have also heard many other people say the same thing.

I searched it up and it seems that the order you kill the enemies affects the drop rate of the channelers trident.

@zaintheman93 First, get the divine ember by killing Moonlight Butterfly in the forest. Take it to Andrei. Upgrade a weapon to +5. Now, Modify Weapon.... Andrei can modify it into a Divine weapon. It works for normal weapons only... not boss weapons, dragon weapons, etc.

You do know that walking out is actually the good ending. Linking the Fire means YOU take the place of Lord Gwyn as a tyrant god until the next pygmy comes to kill you. Walking out beginning the Age of MAN not Age of fire where the Gods rule. If you delve deeper into the Lore you will see this, So yeah linking is bad, walking is good.
