  • @ckming115 are you sure there's not option for pekmi?

  • Hi, i just bought a cuckoo rice cooker. Which setting do u choose if u just want to cook normal white rice? Mine doesn't have that option. Just glutinous rice, sushi rice, mixed rice, nutri rice, nu rung ji, porridge. Thanks

  • I know of one that is super cheap, and you don't have to translate a thing. It's called a pot. you fill it with water or broth put your cut up veggies in it if you want them. then when it starts to boil add your rice.

  • i have one button on my rice cooker..

  • thanks, this video is useful to me

  • I wish I could have a rice cooker, but my parents won't let me :(.

  • Rice is serious business!

I guess it's because rice is the base of their alimentation, that's why they need epic machines!

  • US equivalent of that model is CRP-FA0610F, but it's a higher end version of that model with a voice guidance system that is only in Korean; nonetheless the buttons are in both English and Korean. It also has a proper display, and it's an older model. US Cuckoo rice cookers tend to be based on the higher end cuckoo models which is why they have actual displays and voice guidance.

  • @rendezvous65 i realize this comment is rather old, but do you know if the cuckoo rice cookers sold in the u.s. speak english? or do they only speak korean?

i keep getting mixed answers when i look online

    thanks

  • @pwnagefoo Only Korean voice guidance for now; however, a new model that does both Korean and English voice guide will come out next year.

  • actually the third one is brwon rice and rice with other beans so mixed grain.

And the last one is means 2 h slow cooking but also you can use it as soft brwon rice cooking :)

U might know right now but just wanna let you kno :D

  • hyum mee is the way you pronounce the "special rice" its a different type of rice a different shad witha slight different taste

  • man this thing looks like a robotic pet...

  • I love your videos <D

  • My rice cooker comprises of my stove, pot, and water! ;~;

  • I have that EXACT version :P

  • Yeah never used a rice cooker before. And I don't think I'll ever will. Good ole pot with some hot water will do for me.

  • hi, I just bought a Cuckoo rice cooker which looks like yours here. Can you tell me what the top left button means ? And thanks for uploading this video, I'd been putting my new rice cooker in the storage room since I couldn't use it lol

  • you have the best brand!

  • oh, they mean like green rice or yello wrice

  • that special rice just means like whole wheat/barley stuff

  • O.o I 'll stick to the old fashion way ^^

  • A friend had this type of rice cooker but we always used my Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy rice cooker. They are more expensive but once you taste the two in comparison you can see why. Please dont get me wrong, for the average cooker this one is great though!

  • hi, my rice cooker is the same brand, and I only know how to cook rice with it. Would you be able to do a video for some of the recipes? Thank you ~

  • I have always wanted to buy this pressure rice cooker. They say rice taste better with them, but I am really intimidated how to use it. Thanks for explaining! Now, I will go out and buy a Cuckoo!

  • i dont live in korea i didnt think it was boring!

  • yeah, best rice cooker. I've got them

  • im not so sure what 만능쌀 stands for (im not a cooker...) but 현미 발아, which is the last one, means "brown rice germination". Which also i have no idea how to use because i never cooked rice before :(

  • Brown rice germination must be the GABA feature. GABA rice is supposedly more nutritious than regular brown rice.

  • I would love to get a CRP-HD1054FR someday. Cuckoo makes awesome rice cookers. Plus they're cheaper then the equivalent Japanese models and are just as good.

  • this is the cheaper model, more expensive ones talk to you

  • @drsnowmon & foot massage too

  • @drsnowmon Wow lol the Us doesnt make anything like tht kudos to the koreans

  • They have some really nice ones in Korea. I would love to have the new 30th anniversary IH model with 17 safety features and it's the same price as the high end CRP-HD1054 model in the states. It's also much better. Oh well.

  • special rice means different kinds of rice like red/black grains or rice etc

  • Awesome, cause I do have the same cooker that I shipped back home and forgot what was what ~ doh!

  • that thing is going to transform and join the decipticons (and then kill you) >.|

  • i have a cuckoo rice cooker too but mine hasn't got a display but numbers on it

but i dont know how to use them ist this the time for cooking??? steaming??

how can i cook vegetables with menu 4???

  • korean tragetional cooker is better than elec cooker...^^

  • It looks more like a CD player than a rice cooker. LOL. It would appear that their rice machines are superior to what is available to us here in Canada. :)

  • Francis,

Cuckoo has a Canadian distributor that sells rice cookers.

  • thank you.

  • They sell the same models as the US distributor which are in English. The manual is also in english but the cooking guide is in Korean.

  • "special rice" = multi-grain rice aka the scourge of korean children everwhere

  • useful video!

    i use cuckoo too.

special rice means unpolished rice, brown rice and boiled rice and cereals things..

it's good for our health more than polished white rice.

    yum.

  • wow ~ do you like rice?

nice to meet you~ english lecturer

    are you canada guy?

    i'm korean ^_^;..
